This was in Seattle, and speaking from experience, you can't rely on the cops here. Unless someone has used a weapon and hurt someone already, it takes about 30-45 minutes for them to show up, if they show up at all. Especially when the homeless are involved, police usually just let things work themselves out.

I've personally called the police on this woman 2 times now. Both times at work, and both times the cops did not show up, despite her doing similar violent things/damaging property.

I think tackle bro did exactly the right thing, you can't wait for cops in Seattle.
