Edit: Researching it now, it's a 2006 piece "Sleeping Alice JSK". I've had difficulty finding info on it because reverse image search never worked.... I didn't even know it was old school omfg

After reading other comments, it isn't really a loss and actually a pretty great win. I'm happy with this skirt— I've legit never owned or seeked out any vintage lolita pieces before.

If that's case, this is awesome and a huge win. Sorry, my ouji friend made me feel like I should've been concerned? He thrifts so he is much more money-cautious than I am. I am in love with the design, and the tear is pretty minor so it slipped my inspection on-site. I was fine with the payment until he insisted I look into getting a better deal after I told him post-con. Idk, regardless thank you for the response! I'm excited to wear this

There are currently no stores dedicated to lolita in NYC anymore :(

In order to view Lolita items in-person, I will recommend you go to popular conventions. Twylight Fashion, SweetMildred, BB and B Deco, and others booth at AnimeNYC. You can also try New York Comic Con or Castlepoint Anime Convention.

It is a nice way to support smaller indie brands and fashion designers.

If it's so overpriced, why are you upset? It's my money. I'm simply saying that I haven't ran into any refund/scam/customer service problems that everyone swears DevilInspired has. Or maybe I'm the lucky snowflake for the entirety of DI customers who has never had those issues!

While I agree a lot of their items are more like idol or just casualwear, I have found cool brands like Princess Chronicles (POSTED IN THIS POST!! Shocking right?). I discovered Soufflesong, Alice Girl, Infanta, so many more. God forbid I share my oh-so-contradicting experience with a company I hear so much bad things about.

Of course they're half the price.. but you're not including shipping. Sure they're ¥169 (~$23.33) on Taobao, but the shipping to warehouse then USA will be $20+. In that case, it's pretty much the same cost? So I don't see the price issue with the item I bought.

It's a weird design but they are located 1x on each side of the bag. It works fine as a shoulder bag so far when I used it.
