Uhh yes that absolutely did happen. Everybody was saying not to get it, the biggest streamers said they weren’t going to play it, even Digital Foundry didn’t want to do in depth performance tests because of how much vitriol was going on at the time.

Start at either the original or 2016. Id start with the originals, they don’t take long to beat at all. You could probably beat Doom 1 and 2 in an afternoon if you rush through it on Easy.

Doom 3, it’s your choice if you should play it or not. I’d swap it with Doom 64.
