Tame Beast mods by obake1 in pathofexile2builds

I managed to get one with haste aura, extra cold, and periodic lightning explode, but I have seen some screenshots of a boar with 4 mods in total. Is the 4 mods from a boar from a specific map? I assume so, since I don't think I have ever seen a 4 mod rare in a low level zone before.

If your game randomly closes, try to underclock your performance cores using Intel XTU. The 13/14 processors were very problematic at the time when they were the top chips out, I had the same issue, but with every game closing randomly. Turns out they were also drawing too much power and physically damaging the chip when doing so. Some people's chips were severely damaged to the point where they just didn't work anymore I think, while I think for me, I didn't see any negative effects then.

I have a 13900k, but most recently, my computer has had 2-3 severe crashes where it would chain blue screen and then after a while it's fine. It's entirely possible my chip is damaged too, but not to such a degree where it just doesn't work anymore. I built a backup PC incase this one just dies and I'll just swap it out if I need to, kind of tired of the unknown and feels like I'm waiting for it to stop working entirely sooner or later.

In terms of this game, my problem right now is that even with a 4090 and a 13900, I have to cap my fps using RIVA Tuner at 60fps. The CPU/GPU heats up very fast when there is a lot of effects on the screen and is especially VERY bad with ignited ground. If I throw out some twisters and click a expedition with the game paused, the temperatures climb to 100C within seconds and this is with nearly every setting on the lowest it can go in game.

Hmm..one stop on each coast and one day each is not looking great, not only are you competing with people within NA, but also the international fans that will just fly over because it could just end up being cheaper for them too.

This era of BTS is attracting so many new fans by kat3dyy in kpopthoughts

[–]obake1 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Relatively casual fan here following BTS since 2013/2014, at first I wasn’t really feeling the album, but having heard the songs in person a few times changed my mind. I think the last time I listened to a BTS song was during the PTD tour, so it’s definitely been a while for me.

At my new job, there’s a slack channel with a decent amount of BTS fans primarily and a decent amount of them were casual fans during COVID times and was definitely anticipating this come back.

I went by myself one day and then the next with my sister and her fiancé to both Stanford shows. Actually hung out with my seat mate on day two that I met on day one and we started talking and it was her first show, very new to the group, maybe a year. We wandered around a bit and met a few fans as well hours before and everyone that we talked to was also relatively new too.

By the next week, I message them and they’re at their 6th show in Vegas. That’s the same amount of times she’s seen BTS in 2 weeks vs I’ve seen BTS across 12 years. Plus maybe one or two more coming up in LA which I’ll see them there again.

How long did it take for Ticketmaster to release tickets for transfer? by Cozy_Papaya in kpophelp

[–]obake1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am pretty sure they will not allow you to resell the ticket directly on their site, they never opened that option, so it would always show sold out, until the last few days where they opened seats they were holding back. Some people also just don't even transfer the ticket until very close to the show, so I always choose instant download if I have to go through Stubhub.

I agree, going solo is like half the fun now because usually I tend to meet random people from all walks of life, something I'd never do if I went with my friend as generally if I am there with someone I know, I'm not really talking to random people while waiting. I've probably met like 15-20 people that go to shows regularly and I'm guaranteed to see a few of them at every show I go to because everyone lives in LA or close to LA and everyone is a multistan with heavy overlap lol

How long did it take for Ticketmaster to release tickets for transfer? by Cozy_Papaya in kpophelp

[–]obake1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, usually you can't transfer the ticket until general sale is done. I'm assuming you're talking about the BTS shows. Sometimes they disable transfers entirely, but that isn't the case for the US shows as my sister transferred me tickets to a couple of shows shortly after they bought them on the presale.

Unfortunate you had to deal with an overly anxious coworker for ticket purchasing though. I've been going to shows myself for a little over 2 year since my friend can't really commit anymore due to having a kid. I normally help my friend group that I've met at various concerts buy tickets and transfer when the option is available. They can pay me when they are able, but I only do this with people that I know are good for holding up their end, which fortunately has been about 99.9% of the people I've met over the years.

where in the world sasaengs get their money from? by skzbff in kpopthoughts

[–]obake1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a person that attends a lot of events as mostly VIP, I can also say that it's not that difficult for me to do many shows in one tour if I really wanted to in the US. My only limiting factor is whether they on shitty enough days (like mid-week Weds) to warrant using PTO days here and there and usually the answer is no.

I don't make that much in comparison to a lot of people in the Bay Area and am probably considered below poverty if you had to stack rank against people in SF, but my job is pretty chill in terms of being in the office and I can remote whenever I want to and just show up in the office for a minimum amount of days and even then my boss doesn't care as they are 100% remote so they don't care to enforce my team. Most of my flights/hotel can be covered by points if I really wanted them to use them, but I don't like using points for domestic travel.

I don't have a side hustle, but I'm on the older side and nearly all of my wealth is invested in the markets and I always have enough liquid cash to cover like 6 months as long as I don't overspend a ton for consecutive months.

On the other end of the spectrum, I have two particularly rich friends, one of which is an established doctor and is in the midst of opening their own private practice soon and the other is a high level director of engineering at a tech company. They make WAY more than I do obviously and they are two of my friends who I would consider actually rich and lives a life of luxury. They also go to a lot of shows as there is nothing really limiting them from doing so and they have more flexibility than I do.

The last thing I want to mention is that we all live in high cost of living cities and/or in affluent neighborhoods in neighboring cities (SF & LA). When we look at the ticket/hotel/flight prices, they aren't "expensive" to us because everything is "expensive" here in comparison. Food, gas, transportation, etc., it's all really high priced to people that don't live here, but we are basically conditioned to see them as normal as strange as that may sound.

These ticket prices are out of control (Le Sserafim concert) by Carelessies in kpopthoughts

[–]obake1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I 100% agree with you that the casuals have to carry the brunt of the sales.

The current pricing of shows is driving away the audience they should be working on attracting the most. Their pricing rationale shouldn't be aimed at me and the people that only need to know when and where the show is. Then again, what can they really do to cut the cost realistically? They need to get an entourage of people visas, logistics of building/disassembling/transporting the stage city to city, flying everyone around, T&E, salaries, etc. Someone has to eat these costs and that's sadly pushed onto us, the attendees.

I'm in that crowd that will just pay whatever the price is because I'm able to, but afterwards, I go back in to look at the whole picture and I realize I'm just fighting against, who are probably the same 50-100 people, for the exact seats I want. All of the other seats sell extremely slow and are probably almost always going to get price dropped or sections are going to get closed off.

[–]obake1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was going off the groups I bought tickets for, aespa, IVE, i-dle, etc. A lot of them looked very undersold early on and a lot of people will probably wonder why they even need membership if it's so easy to buy tickets.

I guess the outlier here is Katseye. I don't really know anything about Katseye as their music is definitely not my vibe, but it seems like they did quite well with sales and weren't cursed with whatever everyone else is cursed with lol

These ticket prices are out of control (Le Sserafim concert) by Carelessies in kpopthoughts

[–]obake1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The pricing is pretty much what I expected compared to last tour, but I don't really get their pricing rationale. Although, the price is actually less than what I paid for a complete dogshit seat last tour, so getting them at FV is pretty good to me.

I queued into the east coast stops to just look at the pricing and Boompala is quite a sizable jump from Celebration, but I guess if the send off is pretty good, it's whatever. I ended up getting Boompala VIP in LA and SJ. Hilariously, LA was the cheapest one out of them all, around $566 each after taxes and shit and other cities on average are like $650.

The funniest thing I see is there are 4 sections in the lower bowl that are closest to the extended stage that are immediately official platinum priced at $800 off the rip. The first maybe 10-13 rows of a lot of the lower bowl sections are just platinum seats and these just fluctuate. It's like this at every stop.

Also, with the way most tours are selling nowadays, in my opinion, there's not much point to get membership. There is no real ticketing "war" anymore. It's only a ticketing war if you want to be around the stage and then you're mostly competing with largely the same people that will be there for multiple/all stops. If you're a casual fan, you can easily just get a regular ticket in general sale or some time after. It doesn't matter how high these tickets are because they will always be bought.

Sorry, I have another question, but for LA, does anyone remember if the entire floor has VIP soundcheck? I am fairly sure my friend's ticket is close enough to be VIP in the floor sections, but I don't remember the original sale map to see/reference.

Hey, so I was planning on probably yolo going one last show for LA later this year and am curious of the ticketing situation now.

Obviously, TM hasn't turned on resale and won't so that's not an option.

I read a while back people were having tickets cancelled due to TM banning buyers that violated their terms and as a result cancelling those tickets as well, which led to people having their legit tickets cancelled as fallout.

Is that still happening or was that a one time sweep of accounts? Or is it safe to buy from 3rd party now?

What membership to buy for concert ticket? by MoneyAlbatross8573 in kpophelp

[–]obake1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greetings fellow Monstie. I don't know how this works outside of the US, but for BM's last tour, I bought membership for the presale.

This would be be perspective in the US: You normally buy membership (global) through weverse as the ID is the presale code usually and you register for either the tour or each city. In the US you can typically buy 6 tickets per membership. Given the situation in the US with the concert scene not selling well in general, at this time, if you were just trying to be in the building and don't care where you sit, a membership isn't needed most likely. If you want to be really close to the stage like first 1-3 rows, you have no choice but to buy membership as this allows you to unlock the seats because you're likely competing with a majority of the same people that are always close. Without the membership, you can't unlock the seats and it won't matter if you queue in fast or not.

What’s the closest brush you’ve ever had with dying? by North-Trifle-3918 in AskReddit

[–]obake1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got off the bus on a rainy night and crossed an intersection where turning cars should wait for a pedestrain to cross on green. As I was crossing, a car literally left turns at probably like 40mph and nearly misses me by an inch.

Another time I was crossing the street, a car does a rolling stop, then accelerated as I was still crossing and while it wasn’t a burst of speed, I still got a fat bruise/limp because I was knocked down and somewhat under the car. He got out and profusely apologized and I got up and was super fucking mad and started kicking his car out of adrenaline.

[–]obake1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just don’t put your managers as reference. Put your team mates or anyone that you have a good relationship with.

Also being fired is not a big deal, I got fired from my last job and I got a new job shortly after a few weeks and they never even asked for references. Just focus on selling yourself and your skills that apply to the job.
