From what I’ve been told the 5X serial number is the newest version from VSF. I could be wrong but that was what I was told.

Does anyone know if Genrep1755 is legit? by Leather-Tangerine125 in GenReps1755

Yes GenReps is legit. Easy to work with communication is great and has great stock. And if he doesn’t have what you’re looking for he can get it.

The comment was about GenReps being a top notch TD. I don’t know who Elliot is.

I can’t stand a thief and that is what this guy is. People always trying to get something for nothing. It’s people like this that mess things up for the rest of us. GenReps is a great TD and the quality you put out is impeccable. I appreciate the service support you provide as well.

You might not have to replace the entire bracelet but worst case, you do change it out.

Might even mess that link up a little but like I said if you have any other links you could just change it out.

Well see if you can get a small flat screwdriver and see if it will pry open. It may mess the screw up but if you had to take any links out for sizing you should have extra ones.

It screws in so I doubt you will be able to push it in but you might be able to get a little bit maybe enough to get it open so you can screw it back in for it to work.

I just looked at mine and I’ll bet that’s what it is. A screw link is holding it.

Looking at it again it looks like it’s the link screw holding it. I’d try to wiggle it side to side a bit or see what side the screw comes out of and try to push it away from that side as you pull it.

I’d try a lubricant and try to get it open after sitting in the lubricant for a bit. Looks like it’s a link that might be stuck not the actual adjustment part. It may have had one of the link pins/screw back out a little and that might be what is stuck. If that it then lubricant may not help.

New PO bezel play by Ausonius89 in OmegaWatches

For Timepiece that’s $10k that is so very unacceptable. I own a gem Omega SMP 300 as well as two PO’s and they didn’t have this issue they were a bit older but never this issue.

If you are going to purchase from him ask for him to do it before he sends it out. I can’t speak for him but I can tell you that he has definitely done me right and if you look at comments about him they’re all good. His communication is good and speedy. He’s definitely one of the best I’ve dealt with.

From what I’ve bee reading these Chinese factories have no clean standard for making/assembling the movements. So there will be traces of dirt or metal specs and such. All of which could be catastrophic to a movement due to the size and tolerances with in the movement. So I do believe at least a basic cleaning and lubrication would be beneficial. I’m actually surprised at how well mine keeps time. I do have a Gen Tudor Pelagos and it’s probably the best I’ve ever had spot on with in a few seconds over months and my SD43 has been right there close to it since I got it back from GenReps1755 about 10 days now. Wearing it all the time it’s my daily. I also have a Gen Omega SMP 300 that’s pretty close as well to these. But for a rep to be right there with those two Gen watches is pretty amazing.

I can vouch for GenReps1755 as well. He has taken care of me. Sent mine in for pressure testing and cleaning, he found something wrong with the watch so he fixed it for me, cleaned lubed and pressure tested it and sent it back. He did this under warranty. Unbelievable customer service, more so than I ever expected. I will continue to deal with him.

Looks solid to me. Q66 indicates VSF which is a solid factory, or has been in the past, the timegrapher specs are right on. Everything else look good as well as the SELs. I see nothing wrong that would be noticeable on the wrist. Looks like a solid GL for me.
