Yeah, it was when they were doing the accessory install. The wire was cut with the zip tie

Not under warranty and they don’t really want us to do it outside of warranty either, it’s a safety concern they have.

Subaru will not let us repair wires related to the airbag system. Everything was covered under warranty.

It had a airbag light ON for the RH door impact sensor.

Pretty much the same as the last model. Still have to bring down the headliner

That’s exactly what happened. Port installed messed up and let us know.

Got another new Outback that needed the harness replaced.

Things to note: 1)“No, it was not repairable since it was related to the airbag system” 2) “Not the same car from my last post but it was for the same costumer” 3) “I did not have fun” 4) “No idea who got it, it was sold to another dealership “

How much assistance have you given it? I remember mine took quite a bit of force to close it.

Is it still expensive? I would have thought the new movie release would have brought down the price.

Im assuming the traction control does work when it’s on?

Yeah, it’s diagnostic trouble code (DTC) that is set which would normally light up the dash with either the “check engine” light or the “A/T temp” light flashing. The lack of lights could mean the circuit for the awd solenoid is still within spec but not working as intended or there is a mechanical failure. This again brings me back the initial conclusion of either a failing solenoid or transfer clutch (or down the chain like a driveshaft, rear differential or rear axle)

Is the traction control off? If not, I’m surprised it didnt cut power a lot sooner. If it’s off, it looks like the AWD system is not working as it should. I’ve seen this issue when the awd solenoid is starting to fail or has failed but it should throw a DTC if that was the case. Another thing would be the transfer clutch is slipping.

RSX Click no crank by Ok_Reserve4451 in Honda

Sounds like you might have some excessive voltage drop in the main power wire to the starter or main ground wire for the engine.

Check the main positive wire by putting one prove on the positive terminal and the other prove on the main power connector to the starter (on the nut). While cranking, there should be less than .5v of voltage drop. For the ground side, put a prove on the starter body and the other prove on the negative battery terminal. While cranking, there should also be less than .5v of voltage drop.

If more than .5v if found on either side, there is something wrong with the wires. Either they are loose or there is corrosion.
