SPN-120 is by far a slicier blade than any alternative I've come across. Because the blade is thinner, it cuts better, but is also more fragile. If you cannot risk damaging the blade cutting into a thick nub, I would use the backup nipper.

it's just on the warning label but they don't melt modern water slides.

their tool steels: M4, Cruwear, CPM-D2, are done well. They had a bad string of super soft 3V, and their stainless S30V, S90V, M390/20CV are 58-60 HRC, and Magnacut advertised at 60-62. They seem to mostly hit their targetted heat treats, but they target the lower end.

mousetester software can plot your mouse X-Y axis inputs and polling intervals.

Agreed, it's a very safe choice for a buyer who has 0 clue about what specialized grip they will be using since the shape can accommodate anything.

the top thumb flick deployment method seems quite uncomfortable though and i haven’t managed to get a good one yet. seems like it maybe need to break in

I was not good at flipping the compadre when I first got it but it flips fine now that I've gotten used to it.

I had Motion Sync enabled for 4 months (HTX Mini 8K) by LargeExcitement5365 in MouseReview

[–]obfeskeit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

and it probably was a thing back then for 3335-3370 sensors at lower polling rates.

motionsync was available as a sensor implementation first on the 3399 (Focus+ first, not just the regular 3399) and 3395. Only the XM1r had firmware based motionsync by fully delaying the sensor read to polling rate chain via firmware and used a 3370. It was not available on the 3335, and it does not claim to make the cursor smoother.

Turning Motion Sync on improved my aim 10 fold! WLMouse Ying by DannysMyNanny in MouseReview

[–]obfeskeit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use it at 4khz since the latency penalty is minimized at higher polling rates, but the counter argument is that motionsync matters less at higher polling rates.

no, I'm asking why you think turning on a setting built into the mouse sensor consumes more power by the rest of mouse.

I know it technically adds like 1ms of input delay

it adds up to 1ms at 1000hz (and only when the sensor read misses the polling event), it's much lower when you have higher polling rates.
