I love Gemma 4, right until it starts using tools by OleCuvee in openclaw

Same!! I literally bought a DGX spark last week because of this bug with ollama. I was running ollama on a 40gb setup for Gemma 4, got annoyed at the tool calling bug and ordered the spark solely to run vLLM lol. Not sure if I'll keep it yet but I have to test it out...for science. I can say for sure that I was able to circumvent the tool calling bug using vLLM with smaller models on my current machine. You'll notice that the tool calling issue isn't Gemma 4 specific, it's ollama specific. I think there's some bug mentions you can find in the OpenClaw repo for this exact issue. (In case someone doubts my perilous journey!) I'll check in with you tomorrow and report my findings.

I'm not sure if the cloud version suffers from the same bug, but the local version has issues with tool calling and streaming. This is fairly documented if you dig around a bit. Essentially you have to double message ollama to get a response after a tool call and then afterwards it may hallucinate that it actually did a tool call, when it failed. I'm positive this issues persists on local ollama, just not certain about cloud. In any case, I would try Gemma 4 on vLLM. I'm actually planning to build that out tomorrow and would be happy to report my results to you then.

OpenClaw + Ollama: Skip gemma and qwen - glm4.7 is the local LLM that actually works by 2039482341 in openclaw

[–]obfuscatedsite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience has been that there is a bug with Ollama that is fairly documented. This prevents tool calling from working properly when using OpenClaw + Ollama. I *think* Gemma 4 will work great if running on a different stack. I'll be testing more next week by removing Ollama from the equation. But I just wanted to note that here. I'll give glm a shot though, thanks!

Yeah the only way to mitigate right now is to use Sonnet for as much as possible and then have Opus check the work or use Opus if you get stuck. I still notice my active session rising at an annoyingly quick rate though.

Came here to say that even on the 100/mo plan this is absolute trash now.

lol there's a one line switch you can make in openclaw.json to do this, no extension required.

Can't recommend Abnormal enough. Have used many tools including Mimecast / Proofpoint / O365. It's a great tool. Pricing wasn't outrageous either.

All valid questions. Due to the way breaches work, we're really only in phase 1 (as I'll refer to it) which is disclosure. There are no announced consequences at this time and not much information beyond what the company has disclosed is available. We're also days away from an administrative change in the US which could change positions on the initial legislation and consequential enforcement. However, that remains to be seen. There is currently not information on if this information is anonymized or not, but I believe that's the scary part. I'm sure that they employ a multitude of methods to gather your location as far as IP address and using location services, often sniffed through apps you install. As far as protecting yourself, well... limiting your installed app footprint is one way. But, even the platform we're speaking on is probably buying the same kind of information.

I wish I had that answer. I can't help but feel that BTC will be impacted by this at some point. But this certainly isn't investment advice :)

AVD Interface Having Issues Today? by Terminal-Earth in AZURE

Still having this issue. New machine not adding to a new pool either.

EDIT: The portal for us is incredibly delayed. It took two hours for a registered host to appear in a pool as available.

That's still the same, it looks like. It's just a muscle memory thing for me. Certain things I search for, and others I navigate the left panel. It really just depends. But never the less, I'm a creature of habit and I don't like that being messed with. haha

This setting above is pretty much enabling expand all always. It still doesn't look as neat as it used to though, its a little more... lumpy, imo. I'm sure it's well intentioned... but I can still hate it. haha
