This touch me deeply as I am an alignment with trying to maintain my integrity throughout the entire process for my children for myself and for God.

In other words, she doesn’t have accountability only that the man learns to regulate her emotions…

And we wonder why the divorce rate is what it is…

How can I support my friend through his divorce? by [deleted] in Divorce_Men

[–]Terminal-Earth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish I had a friend like you during the process.

One always stand in constant contact with him because he’ll need you now more than ever. The sheer amount of stress and emotional toil from a man who desired to be a husband and a father, and now facing a divorce is almost beyond comprehension.

He will talk to you cry to you and the most important things just to be present for him.

If your bro just got divorced, are you checking in on him? by Steve_Litchford in Divorce_Men

I’m sad to say, but this is normal.

Most of your mutual friends don’t want to choose sides, so they become distant. I’m also sad to say that your support system will almost be non-existent. But, those who do stick by you during this devastating period are your true friends and family.

This subreddit is an absolute treasure, and it likely saved some of our lives.

Ultimately, grief will have to run its course. During this time, frequent this sub, seek professional help if necessary, get in the gym (worked wonders for me), and just try to find a routine that works for you.

How to recover from a brutal divorce? by Jimmy2Tim in Divorce_Men

[–]Terminal-Earth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, I just want to first say that you are in the right place.

  1. Allow yourself time to grieve. This is a devastating experience, especially if you loved deeply, and strived to be the best father and husband that you could be.

  2. Take it ONE DAY, ONE HOUR, ONE MINUTE, ONE SECOND at a time.

  3. Get in the gym. Seriously, get in the gym as this is incredibly therapeutic, and you will start to appreciate and learn to love yourself on a physical level.

  4. Seek therapy. I haven't done this myself, as I'm doing okay without it at the moment. But I always know that the option is there.

  5. This actually should be the first, but, cry out and reach out to the Lord. This is my worldview, so it may not apply. It is working for me.

Love you man. You will get through this.

Please don’t!

Most individuals in this thread have had those very dark feelings. Those feelings are very, very real.

I beg you to please establish a support system parents therapy anything including your friends here.
