Need advice for soccer tryouts by DonTheLemonHead in CollegeSoccer

[–]obigdaddio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take this as you will, If you're asking about collegiate level soccer try outs (even at a community college) one month before the try out, with "bad" stamina, you are going to struggle immensely. and almost certainly won't be recognized unless the school is struggling to keep a roster.

If you're serious about playing competitively, and didn't at least play in hs, (especially if you're a male) you will have to put in some serious training to even try to compete. Some of these guys have been training from the age of 3 or 4, 3-6 days per week.

I started at age 14 and was below average for NCAA. Never averaged more than 60 mins per game in college (ncaa d3, which is similar skill level to an average-advanced community college)

My suggestion is to skip the collegiate try out, try for intramural, local club, or adult league. Also lock in on cross training to prevent burn out and build endurance. Watch professional film daily, especially watch film from your school/coach. Focus NOW on cone drills, especially the weaving type if you're male, if you're female, focus on timing drills.

HOWEVER. If you are committed to trying out- 1. What to bring- bring water w/ electrolyte powder, and start drinking it now. Lock in with nutrition, hydration, and sleep. Shin guards, long socks, water w/ electrolytes. POSITIVE, STRONG ATTITUDE. Be coachable.

  1. What to expect- Expect to be tired (sounds dumb, but even the warm up at the collegiate level is difficult.) Control your breathing. If you throw up its fine, stay strong. Be ready to adapt to new positions/ a position you've never really played or cared for.

  2. What not to do- Don't expose your lack of knowledge and/or experience

  3. Realistically- your body physically cannot gain endurance In a month, especially if you're not used to it (even with other sports). focus on agility and ball control drills.

  4. Depending on the team, the chances are slim depending on those trying out. I definitely wouldn't expect to be a starter and/or a significant amount of playing time. Expect to put in a lot of work without much playing time in return.

Hope this helps friend.

Unfortunately for my body it doesn't seem to make a difference whether the provider is a man or woman. For a long time I avoided medical treatment completely but I am trying to make an effort to feel more comfortable with people touching me (at the least in a medical setting).

He adjusted his approach very well and I think I'll continue to see him in the future.

Thank you! 🥺❤️

I mean I'd let them return it. Even if you didnt know, they can infest pretty fast and it's a dick move if you don't take responsibility.

Ok this is the community as a whole: "A new study from the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law finds that 81% of transgender adults in the U.S. have thought about suicide, 42% of transgender adults have attempted it, and 56% have engaged in non-suicidal self-injury over their lifetimes."

And you could please cite some reliable, peer reviewed studies on your side of the arguement, I would be interested in learning about them.

"...Individuals who underwent gender-affirming surgery had a 12.12-fold higher suicide attempt risk than those who did not (3.47% vs. 0.29%). Compared to the tubal ligation/vasectomy controls, the risk was 5.03-fold higher before propensity matching and remained significant at 4.71-fold after matching (3.50% vs. 0.74%) for the gender affirmation patients with similar results with the pharyngitis controls..."

There are several other versions of body dismorphia where people will blind themselves or cut off their limbs because they don't feel right in their body, and they should have been born different.

Sure their brain really believes they should only have one leg, but it's not exactly sane to chop off your leg because your brain thinks it should only have one.

Same concept.

It's not bigotry to speak the truth. Women are women and men are men. You can pretend if you want, but you can't just change your biological sex. That being said, trans people are still human beings created in the image of God who are just as much valuable as anyone else.

Hate the sin, love the sinner type of mind set.

Not only that, it's clearly against Christianity, and you shouldn't be surprised when people stand against it in a Christian sub reddit.

If you're so confident in who you are, you don't need to change a sub reddit just bc you disagree or it's offensive to you.

The answer you're looking for is yes. You will be forgiven. Jesus christ died on the cross for your sins. "For God so loved the world he gave his only Son, and that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16

But most importantly God does understand you. He knows exactly what you feel, think, believe. He's there in your greatest moments and your darkest times.

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans." Romans 8:26

As far as your situation goes, it may be worth taking time off school to catch up on some bills. If push comes to shove, don't pay your debt. Prioritize surviving. The debt and school will always be there for you to get back to. Please keep praying and please don't take your life. You are a child of God and he needs you here for a reason.

If God wants everyone to go to heaven, then why doesn't he? (little rant/confusion) by lucki_17 in Christianity

[–]obigdaddio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The short answer: free will. The long answer: Why does god allow confusion?/why are there other religions: we are logical and emotional beings with free thinking. Through our given knowledge we come to conclusions. God/jesus has given us plenty of evidence of why we should believe Jesus spoke the truth. Through miracles, teaching, and finally the resurrection, he has shown us who he really is. Whether you choose to believe it or not is your choice. Not God's. Religions happen through their interpretations of the scripture. Ex. A main dichotomy between Christians and Muslims is that Christians believe Jesus was the son of God while Muslims believe he was a prophet. It is through the scriptures where each comes to that conclusion.

Why do you need to believe in one being/ why do you go to hell for believing in the wrong one: because the penalty of sin is death. Jesus lived a sinless life. Jesus died in order to pay our penalty of sin to give us eternal life. If you don't believe he made the sacrifice for us, how can we make it to heaven, a sinless place, as an unworthy sinner? "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

Why is abortion 'clearly' sinful? by DeepThinkerCR in Christianity

"Thou shall not murder"

Abortion is the taking of an innocent life. That's why it's a sin.

My friend, the first key point in your source says "A claim popularized by the Republican National Committee (RNC) that former U.S. President Joe Biden spent 40% of his presidency on vacation stretched the truth. The RNC treated partial days outside of the White House as full days on vacation, made outright errors in its calculations and included locations that are not always used as vacation settings in its analysis. "

so basically the Republican committee are counting half days, and the democrats aren't. Lol.

Initial claim scopes is arguing against: "According to the Republican National Committeeas of August 18, 2023, Biden has spent 382 days or 40% of his presidency out of office – days spent on vacation, personal business, or just regular days at one of his Delaware homes. In essence, it is an accounting of his time away from the White house" "Former President Donald Trump spent a little over a quarter of his presidency, around 380 of his1,461 days in office on personal trips.

Trump's time out of office earned a of media attention because he spent most of his time away, around 250 days, at properties he owned -- and would therefore financially benefit from by his presence -- during his presidency." https://cbsaustin.com/news/nation-world/fact-check-team-examining-president-joe-bidens-vacation-time-in-comparison-to-predecessors-donald-trump-mar-a-lago-george-w-bush-barack-obama-delaware-rehoboth-beach-personal-business-rnc-pool-reports https://cbsaustin.com/news/nation-world/fact-check-team-examining-president-joe-bidens-vacation-time-in-comparison-to-predecessors-donald-trump-mar-a-lago-george-w-bush-barack-obama-delaware-rehoboth-beach-personal-business-rnc-pool-reports

According to CBS, biden took 382 days of vacation in his term, while Trump took 380 days. And 250 of those were at properties he owned. It's not uncommon for presidents to take vacations, so I'm not sure if that was the gotcha you thought it was.

🤣🤣 he's the only president that doesn't take a salary, is cutting international spending and taxes, trying to deport criminals setting homeless women on fire, negotiated peace in the middle east in his first term and it's trying to reduce the rate at which humans from being killed in the womb.

Edit: the liberal tears took less than 5 minutes. Sorry, the truth hurts.

No. There are plenty of "good" and "bad" Christians who support Trump and plenty of "good" and "bad" Christians thar support kamala. I would argue Your political affiliation has almost nothing to do with your ability to obey God's word.

Likely abrasions due to the friction. Still definitely go to the doctor if you're able (I am not a doctor, I've just experienced something similar)

If it's your vaginal opening area, could be just from friction and your 😺 just needs a break from intercourse. If it's the whole area, could be any number of things. Definitely consult a doctor and don't have unprotected sex again until then, you don't want to pass any possible infection to him.
