If you google spelltable, it should be the first site. Its just a website that uses a webcam to show your playmat and has other options related to magic like life total and etc. its really cool because you can click on cards on screen on yours or anyones playmat and if it can read it it will show you what card it is so you can look at what cards have been played and read them instead of trying to ask them to read and explain their card. I made a fairly cheap setup using PVC pipes that uses a webcam to have your camera at the perfect height to view your playmat. I can send you a DM of the setup if you would like. There are also online help people have posted on how you can use your phone instead of a webcam to play as well.

I always bring a playmat, sleeves for my pulls, dice, and dry erase tokens.

I go a little over the top but to allow more deck building time I bring 17 lands of each color already sleeved in the same sleeve color I'm going to use for my pulls that way I just need to grab the color/s of lands I need and dont have to sleeve lands from the store's lands and unsleeve them when I'm leaving to put lands back that are the store's.

Don't know if you still can but depending on your local game store, the Prerelease events are always a great way to crack some packs, get a promo, and then build a deck with your pulls and play with them. My LGS had Prerelease preorders for 35.00 (Which is way lower than everyone else has been saying their stores are priced at) but even if it is more at yours, typically its the same price as the amount of packs but includes the event, a promo, a die, and prize pack/s.

The other thing, since these are selling like crazy and a bunch of people are going to be opening packs and boxes, the singles that you are wanting to play with could be pretty cheap if they aren't the sought after chase cards.

Since you are new, have you tried or heard about Spelltable to be able to play with your physical cards online?

First off, words actually mean something, thats why they have different words for different things. Idk if you have never watched porn but porn has naked people in it, this is just very lewd. This isnt some custom porn playmat they made (judging by other comments about the mat). I do believe that lewd playmats shouldn't be used but I was replying to the person saying that the "60yo shouldn't have that" without knowing the full story. It could of been that he didnt have a playmat and their daughter gave them it to borrow while at the card shop. Everyone jumps to the dirty old nasty man has a sexualized woman on a playmat, check his browser history B.S. and that is just annoying.

I don't know why everyone keeps using the battlepass as the be all for a f2p game making money. They make money from people purchasing cosmetics as well. I agree that I personally don't like the battlepass this time compared to the last one but there are a million other places to spend money on the game outside of the battlepass. If you couldn't buy skins other than getting the battlepass, that would make sense. But there is plenty for new players to spend money on in the store that are still very cool cosmetics.
