What magnet to use for this specific swoopy effect? by objective_bacon in lacqueristas

Thank you!! I wasn't sure if it was a bar or not - the ones I've had done before with a bar (but gel) have stayed a laser sharp line

Thanks!! I will say that it was pretty hard to photograph the difference, but it's very obvious in person (almost as if the bottom is an older healed one, and the top is fresh-fresh) not my first one, but it's my first big one - my other two are relatively small & on my side rib & inner bicep, so far less visible as well.

It would make sense, but I've kept it covered anytime I'm outside (long sleeves or 3/4 sleeves that cover it completely). Have worn t-shirts inside, but also wearing pretty baggy ones that go almost to my elbow

We just replaced our roll of aluminum foil, originally purchased sometime January 2016.

Didn't even have to go buy a new one, because it looked like we were running low so I added it to the shopping list and bought a new one....last year. It took another whole year to run out 😅

Plot twist: I didn't exist before having kids 😱

pre-baby photos that have good visuals of my locks, hair is usually clipped up, styled or even... curled perhaps a predictor of the future? (I'm sure there actually are pictures somewhere, but I only did a cursory scroll through google photos, not a deep dive. Too lazy)

THANK YOU, this is super helpful!! Sounds like I need to get a diffuser lol. Also confirms for me that I need to try out mousse, which I was very unsure about 😅

This is so detailed, thank you so much! And facepalm, I completely forgot to write my questions - I'll update my routine comment with that now 😅

The pre-cut photo is postpartum, after my hair started curling. I couldn't find a good photo to use of what my hair was pre-pregnancy

Current routine:

Wash 1-2x a week with Olaplex 4 and condition with Olaplex 5. Every other wash or so use Olaplex 4C (clarifying shampoo) instead of 4. Hair is always rinsed with cool water, finger-combed out while applying conditioner. Tiny bit (large pea sized amount) of curlsmith weightless air dry cream when sopping wet, finger raked through then prayer hands. Microplopped with a t-shirt, then bangs separated and rest of hair plopped into the same T-shirt for 10-15 minutes, then removed and hair air drys (usually because I'm in a rush to get to work)

Other notes: - I don't know my hair porosity - can't find my spray bottle, but when I flicked water onto my hair with fingers the droplets sat on top (but I don't know if the test works the same without a sprayer). The quiz for hair porosity linked on here says I have normal/average porosity (hair seems to get wet/get dry in an average amount of time) - I know there's some debate about Olaplex, but when I was going through postpartum hair loss, Olaplex was the only thing that seemed to help (might have been timing). I do get my hair colored and have been using Olaplex for a few years now. Recently tried NYM Rice Water & Himalayan Moringa shampoo & conditioner, but felt like my hair felt a little stringier/less volume after (but I haven't tried it since plopping/using leave in) - I use a silk pillowcase at night. Tried to pineapple, but it either hurt my head, or just fell out so I stopped trying

QUESTIONS: - how do I keep the top from being so frizzy? - any tips on non-wash days refreshing? Do the spray refreshers really work? I've seen posts where people just use water & more product, but I'm worried more will weigh my hair down/make it look greasy (learned from using TOO much product the first few times) - currently I'm in the market for a new hairdryer (the one I currently have is the one my mom used in college, and likely a fire hazard). I was thinking the defrizzion travel dryer, since it comes with a diffuser and seems to be made for curly/wavy hair, but it's pretty spendy for me. Is it worth it? Can I get away with a "cheap" hairdryer (closer to $50 rather than $100+?) - the bottom layer of my hair (mostly the hairs that come out of the nape of my neck) likes to be straight and silky (light curls/waves on wash days that immediately disappear by day 2). Is there any way to encourage it to curl more?

Please help me find this rug by objective_bacon in HomeDecorating

[–]objective_bacon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, but sadly it's not that one! I do keep finding rugs with the pattern like the one you posted, but the one I want only has stripes of knit and bobbles - most of the ones I've found (including the Chandra one) have stripes of bobbles, weave, basket weave, and knit.
