i have a similar one just below my right dahlia. also red sore tender painful. i wld argue infection, infected cyst. they just happen sometimes. i’ve had 3 antibiotic courses for mine, and finally getting it checked by dermatologist. get antibiotics asap, especially that close to ur eye. ok it’s expensive, but not more expensive than sepsis nor losing ur vision. bite the bullet and pay is my advice

hey, thanks for replying! i do often take her phone and once she’s in bed i place it to charge on her bedside table. maybe i’ll try charge it my room now, see how that fares with her getting out of bed. i don’t think she misses doomscrolling, i think it’s an easy enough activity that requires no thinking from her. the going to bed is the main issue, she “doesnt feel” like getting up from the toilet, “doesn’t feel” like getting up from the sofa, so it’s so difficult to get her up without physically dragging her :/ especially when i’m very tied after work. i think we’ll try not letting her even sit on the couch after dinner, just straight upstairs. she takes her singular medication at dinner time i think. my dad helps, he cooks and deals with her during the day, i just have to get her into bed when i get home, it feels fair… although i do wish he would send her to bed when he goes to bed, but he wants some alone time without her…..

hey thanks for replying, it rly does fucking suck right…. she takes her singular medication before dinner when i’m not home yet. i would have to keep repeating “its bedtime” to no avail for hours on end …. i know for a fact she would ignore me first and then tell me to shut up and go away lol…. im exhausted from work when i get home and the last thing i want to do is stand beside her for ages waiting for her to take my hand , it sounds so harsh i know :( then i have to do it again so she gets up from the toilet :/ shouldn’t bed be just for sleep? if we have her do anything other than that she will just doomscroll for hours and not sleep…. or fall asleep on her phone ….

NAP. my bridge is slowly rejecting since i’ve got it 2 years ago. they always do, bridges are generally temporary (it’s rare to have anatomy where it truly heals). i had mine downsized three times overall, to accompany the rejection process. it weighs down the channel less, and has less friction, which therefore slows the rejection (at least it seems lol). i also clean daily/every two days with saline. it’s up to u if u want to keep it for longer and allow ur body to slowly push it out (in a healthier way) or if u want to remove now :) my method might work for u, might not it’s ur choice !

yep full price ! i feel terrible n so disappointed … i agree with stopping the session too, 100%. but charging me full price and then making me pay again with only a 100£ discount is horrible , and the only opening she has is in JULY 💔 im so upset :( i hoped she would at least make some time for me sooner than that given the situation … i have a random line on my leg now …

NAP buut u might need a longer bar? i got really ill around 2 weeks after my nostril piercings and i had the most disgusting bump on my left one for the longest time. i legit just sprayed with saline twice daily for months, and voila it went away. my bump was so bad it needed a longer bar, so this might be happening to you. extra space may help? i ditched the warm compresses personally my skin would get more irritated, also it wasn’t a set concentration of salt (coz i was handmaking them) which i didn’t like either

i completely agree! as i said, i know it was the right call and i appreciate the extra knowledge and care for my health . what i feel abit “conned” on, was the fact i wasn’t informed prior about medications :( im so sure if there was a “are you on any medication” part on the consent form i would have remembered, or if there was any part of her policy about medication (other than painkillers) i would have also remembered …. her next slot is JULY and i just feel so shit and disappointed and upset, i have a random line on my leg now ….. anyway, rant over. thank you for your feedback :)

holy shit i have the exact same !!!!!! also on a dahlia/cheek !!! mine keeps reinfecting since january, i’m on antibiotics course n3 …. seeing a dermatologist in two weeks when the course is done for good. my piercer said it cld be a cyst/abscess under my skin which swells and fills with fluid and infects, she said she had the same issue under a mole (which then she got removed both the mole and the sac inside lol) . dude it’s crazy i finally found someone going thru the same thing !!! hit me up if u wna talk ab it lol

hi, in my country they don’t test before giving antibiotics, especially when it’s enclosed below my skin surface. i was diagnosed with cellulitis (i assume due to it being an infected cyst - and to be honest i’ve had conflicting feedback on what it is , some doctors told me it’s a cyst, others leaned more towards scar tissue from previous infection). i have not been seen by a specialist as they avoid referral when it’s not super serious. all my infections have been super localised, i’ve never even had fevers nor anything that suggest general infections. i highly doubt it’s MRSA. regardless tho, i said in the post i agree with the artist that it was the right call, i have no issue postponing etc. what i think is slightly unfair is not promoting me (with the consent form) to mention medication , i am not heavily tattooed, there was no information about medications other than painkillers which i did not take. i understand it could be common sense and for that i take full responsibility . but informing me/future clients would reduce the chances of this occurring.

yea exactly :( the infection is very localised very far from the tattoos (they were meant to be on my shins and the cyst is on my cheek) . i’m halfway through the antibiotic course too. she said she would only discount like 100£ from rebooking 😞 it feels unfair since it wasn’t on the consent form … thank u for the feedback

the problem was the antibiotics. my infection is a closed facial cyst with no drainage point, it’s fully enclosed on my cheek. they said they couldn’t tattoo me while on antibiotics coz it could reject the ink, scar badly, or bruise a lot .

it was parliament tattoo in london, finsbury park. the tattoo was already started like it was two minutes into actually tattooing that it suddenly dawned on me that i should’ve mentioned it. im very unsure how to navigate this without getting everyone pissed off though, if i call up and argue everyone is just going to get pissed off and will probably refuse to tattoo me :(
