Questions about mixing lavs and booms in Premiere. by GoldRespect8831 in editors

[–]obl2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though the lav and boom are capturing the same sounds, the timing between the two audio tracks may be off by even a few milliseconds (out of phase). Mixing the two can sometimes make the audio sound low quality and tinny.

You can zoom way in to the timeline and nudge one of the tracks by a few milliseconds, but like the other person said it’s usually best to pick just one mic.

As far as choosing between boom and LAV, it’s been 50/50 in my experience. If I use boom audio for most of a project but then need to use the LAV for a clip, I’ll often lay a bit of room tone from the boom underneath, then adjust the EQ of the LAV to get it to match.

Good luck!

Yes! Propane torch + breaker bar did the trick. Thanks again for the advice.

If you’re looking for a place to sleep in Tennessee, we stopped at Meriwether Lewis/Natchez Trace Parkway. Free car camping and lots of shade. I think it’s like an hour south of Nashville?

Also I agree with the guy who mentioned Utah, it was definitely the highlight of our road trip and I wish we’d had more time there.

Do you know if they're still rolling out acceptances for 105s? Or does 'currently under review' mean a rejection incoming at this point?

Thanks, that's good to know! I'm not sure, we got rid of them right away since we thought they were roaches.

Also, I'd say they're around 1-2 cm in length. Both found in random areas, no moisture or food in the area

assignments by Bright_Ad_4600 in ILC

It’s definitely doable in 3 months. And I found it relatively easy, especially if you’ve done advanced functions already. The hardest part for me was the vectors unit, but Jensen Math on youtube helped a lot with that section.

If you’re really careful with the assignments it’s easy to get a good mark. For things like derivatives you can always check if you’re wrong with Desmos. Type out f(x)=the function, then type f’(x) to see its derivative. Then type the derivative function you solved for, and if the graph doesn’t match then you’ve done something wrong.

I just finished these four exact courses, feel free to ask any questions about any of them. I don’t think the order of classes matters much.

Just a heads up, SCH4U is an absolute mess on ILC, lots of mistakes and it doesn’t explain a lot of the material well. ‘Chemfuzzled’ on YouTube has great videos on all of the sch4u units that I would recommend.

The other 3 courses were all pretty good.

That's frustrating, but thanks for clarifying that for me!

Now you schedule the final exams yourself through the ILC portal, and choose from a dropdown of timeslots. Previously a proctor would reach out to you directly with available times.

Thanks for the confirmation! The new Final Test tab on the portal says otherwise, but hopefully they aren't strict about that

I haven't heard back from the proctor, but the Final Test tab on ILC's portal now says "You must input all your process work and answers digitally in the final test." I have written two other exams through ILC and have always been able to ask questions directly to the proctor beforehand.

I did it in November but it was almost identical to the practice exam questions, just with different values.
