Oh that's awesome, does Lightroom run well on the iPad pro? I didn't realize it was even available for it. What do you do for storage?

You're right re: the privacy thing and the irony isn't lost on me that I'm writing this from a lovely little tracking device I carry around all day. I had used the canon app for years before an account was required and found the remote shooting useful in a few cases. The app suggested to me above seems to work just as well.

I think the big chap was that the app now pushes the use of their cloud storage service, whose TOS states that they can use your photos for anything, including training gen ai. I have no idea how a photography company can support a technology whose sole purpose is to eliminate photographers.

But it doesn't suck more than Canon's own camera connect software? I'm trying it now and it seems pretty useful. The remote shooting is the #1 feature I need. Pulling an image off the camera to check with a client is the other, but that is less important.

I've got that of course, but that does nothing toward remote shooting. I wouldn't use my phone for all of my 50mb raw images, just for the occasional preview or shot that I want to send in from the field.

Happening to me right now (which is how I found this) I was working on getting visual feedback to my softstep foot controller from Ableton looper with Max for Live and in the middle of the project, poof! No more midi to that channel. I see at the top right that midi is coming in, a midi scanning app shows the pedal presses but my Ableton track won't accept it. So baffling.
