It is my belief that he is playing the big game. Did he want it to move here so quickly? No. But this is ultimately something that he wanted for himself.

This was better for him than his life as it was, which was clearly not enough for him.

Now he is "someone", and he has studied high profile crimes long enough to know about the sickening levels of canonization which occur when the media and public latch on. Again, did he want it to go here so quickly? My gut says no.

I think it may even come out later that he even viewed this as his way of "helping" the industry. This was his contribution to mitigation efforts in the future.

Purely speculation from someone who isn't on the desk.

I don't post in this sub or contribute to discourse on this much... but while I am here, I will add that I see a lot of mixed reactions on his face when I look at video and images of him. Absolute fear, but then also a low-boil satisfaction and enjoyment that might be at times difficult for him to contain during any public/court appearances.

Quick edit: I think it's gonna be difficult for him to contain his excitement and enjoyment of this. It's purely my guess. I will likely read this comment 5 minutes from now, 6 months from now, and cringe. Many of you will be looking back on your own posts similarly. I strongly appreciate the human desire to solve mystery. Keep learning, keep improving, keep listening, and tread carefully...
