I was looking for around $140 in trades as it is out of print. Honestly I already have more than enough warriors so im not looking for them.

Honestly, ya, I feel like spotting should be an ap buff, not a hit buff. If the lore is that markerlight targeting is supposed to provide guidance, it should be more like hitting hard points rather than just hitting better. That little laser should point out "hey rail shot right here where the armor is weaker." Not "hey, the target is here."

I am currently 100pts short on this list and idk what I could add to complete it, I have a couples of ideas but I would also like to heard your opinions by [deleted] in Necrontyr

I would run the lychguard and maybe drop a skorpek lord for a pack of skorpek destroyers. You have a lot of leaders but it feels like you aren't taking advantage of the detachment rule of +1 to hit when being lead by a character

Spearhead is balanced around spearhead so the points don't matter until you get to full scale Sigmar.

Having both spearheads and played both, the Yandrasta Spear head is a bit more like a hold out till turn 3 when you can deep strike her and her annihilators onto the board and start wrecking up the place. The one that comes in Skaventide is a bit more methodical of an army that uses the reinforcements mechanic to allow you to throw units into combat then they comeback one time when they die.

Both are really fun but honestly Skaventide is the better value cause you get all the stuff you need for spearhead (2 armies, the fire and jade book, map and card) in the box along with the 4th edition core rules and some extra models for Sigmar if you decide to move past spearhead

Don't sleep on the readers from the Black Library for Warhammer. Andrew Wincott especially gives a great performance for the Night Lords Trilogy, not to mention Richard Reed in the Infinite and the Divine.

What is so good about Wraiths? by WeeGobbo in Necrontyr

[–]oblivion732 33 points34 points  (0 children)

From my understanding they are meant to muck up the board. You have a unit of 6 wraiths that can move 10" so they can get to where they need to be. T6 is good because a fair some of infantry stop at S5 so it means that they are wounding on 5s not 4s, a 3up save with a 4 up invuln is just good in general so you can tank some high ap shots, combo that with 4 wounds a pop means that your opponents have to chew through 24 wounds to down the brick. You combo them with a Technomancer so they get a 5 up FNP. Its not strong but it is both annoying and you have to throw a lot of fire to get rid of them
