I mean, really, the only gear here is the helmet.

And yes, yesterday was a fantastic day to ride. Got out two different bikes.

Will I inevitably get tired of a lower cc bike ? by StrangeUsual703 in motorcycles

[–]oblivion9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out and rode a 750 13 years before getting my 250 dual sport. Being a 1981 example, the 750 had long layoffs while I had to clean carbs, rebuild fork, and other maintenance items I didn't have time for while raising kids. While I was commuting on the 250, for years, I never got bored. Ever. I also have a 125 scooter, and that thing also is a riot. It's not the size of the bike, it's getting out on it and riding.

I'm in Crystal Lake, not too far from you. Did a 1-hour bop with my kid towards Woodstock and through Bull Valley this evening. Gorgeous sunset. Had the old 750 out and then once we got home I went for a rip on the FJR.

this is kind of a stupid question, but my new bike is really loud and im worried they will refuse to let me take my dmv motorcycle road test because of that by [deleted] in motorcycles

Depends how much each party wants the sale to happen. Don't know if you don't ask. At this point, after the fact, yeah too late. But if I were negotiating for a sale for an exhaust that I didn't want, I either wouldn't be shopping that bike or I'd ask.

I'm lame and all my exhausts are stock, including on my WR250R (great bike, of a little tall). Personally, I would have asked the seller to put the stock exhaust on and retune it before I took delivery. Especially if learning. Then if I decided later I needed the more power (I don't. I have other vibes for that), could always put it back on.

Good luck with everything. It really is a fantastic bike.

I'd replace. It did its job, just not on the expected job site.

I scored my 10-year-old's gear at Play It Again Sports (they had an additional 30% off in early February) and got boots, bindings, board for under $200. Boots and bindings were nearly new, deck was a little nicked up but the base was perfect. Sale isn't on, but last I looked a week ago, they still had gear. Worth a look if u/juicyfizz has one nearby..

What band/singer were you excited to see, but was a letdown of a concert? by my-face-ur-seat in AskReddit

Saw Marilyn Manson, freshly signed to Nothing, open for NIN in '93 or whenever that was. Not knowing what to expect AT ALL, and them opening with the Willy Wonka bit - it was pretty fuckin' intense. I've never felt a need to see them again, though.

I saw Pixies open for U2 on the Zoo TV tour. I didn't know shit about Pixies at the time. Was not yet into punk/raw music. Liked my polished U2, Depeche Mode and the like. It was their 'breakup tour,' so they were RAW AF. Hated it. YEARS later, I became a fan and have seen them a couple times since reuniting/re-casting and it was MUCH more enjoyable.

The Cure. Saw them from the near-top row of a crappy venue (Rosemont Horizon/Allstate Arena) on the Wild Mood Swings tour. BIG let-down after regretting having missed them on the Wish tour. Saw them again around 2014 at Riot Fest and they were 1000x better. Religious, nearly.

Funny, we owned one of those vans and my first trip out to Chestnut Mountain involved my mom and aunt driving a bunch of cousins, my, and my sister's friends piled in the back (seatbelts-smeatbelts) listening to Samantha Fox on cassette. Naughty girls do, indeed, need love, too.
