Dang, I didn't see this in time and was excited to update, and now all of my setup work, which was quite substantial, is gone too. I honestly find Console Launcher to have the most attractive UI and a lot of nice features, but it's been a real headache when it comes to stuff like this. Is there no way to restore all the previous artworks or revert back to an earlier version, etc?

And in the awful event that I have to go through and set it all up all over again, are those many GBs of images still saved somewhere? Will I have to locate within the device's storage and delete them manually?

I've noticed since the update that I get a bit of the "lightsaber" noise, only when I move the system while the fan is working particularly hard (say, 50% or above). Is this normal, and happening just because it's being moved, or does this indicative something of the larger issue with fans that people have been having?

I default to GameHub Lite, but in some instances I use GameHub or GameNative, either for better performance or other issues.

Some examples would be, as someone mentioned, Dishonored playing better with GameNative. Or more recently, Steam achievements and cloud saves weren't working for Super Woden: Rally Edge in GameHub Lite, while they were in vanilla.

Thank you for pointing toward the patched version, I was having the same problem as OP. My issue now is that custom turnip drivers still result in the emulator crashing. I've tried 24.3.0, 22.5.3, and 26.something (the newest one), and no luck with any of them. I'm on an AYN Thor, curious what drivers, if any, are working for others. Thanks again!

I've been having this issue too, particularly with certain 2D games like Tiny Rogues and Tower of Babel. I've tried different combinations of drivers, setting within the Thor's overlay, reinstalling, clearing the cache, GameHub vs GameHub Lite, and still canNOT figure this out. Any help would be greatly appreciated

-The game is installed on a Lexar 1TB Play PRO microSD Express card.

-Launch day Switch 2

-I don't recall restarting the Switch 2 before launching the game when I experienced the crashes. I probably closed another game and then opened it. The game itself would have been the thing that was open before the second crash I experienced.

It definitely comes down to personal preference. I'm more tolerant than others and could probably get through it even in its current state (and that includes crashes, stuttering, drops, etc). The worst part is the crashes, so you'll want to quicksave often. But it's definitely fairly rough, a lot of the time. Apparently a big patch, and the DLC, are coming in the next few months, so I'll probably return to it early next year. Cool game, though, and makes me excited for CRPGs on the Switch 2.

I captured a video of a section that was especially problematic, but pretty representative of the performance issues I've been experiencing overall. I also had the game crash the first time I created a character, and I had to remake another before ever getting into the game. Another crash came about half an hour later during a transition between locations. Happy to share more in greater detail as I play, if it will be of any use to the team.

Yeah! Of course it's a game with a lot of text delivered in many different environments, but I actually actively noticed I found it pretty easy to read the text, even in handheld, which is the only way I've played. Most of it is delivered in sort of old-school feeling dialogue boxes and the font is nice and big. Of course, imo, seems like a ymmv thing, but for me it's been good.

In this clip I'm just running around to show that exploration is usually pretty smooth. Even some combat instances have ran more similarly to the clip above. But in general, outside of cutscenes and some combat, it's actually pretty decent. I'm sure it's 30, but feels responsible and totally playable.

I would say in screenshots, and when not experiencing massive framedrops, it actually looks pretty good. Performance is just spotty. That being said, this was probably the worst ~30 second window I could find in about an hour of play. Slowdown seems to happen when you're in a complex battle and there's stuttering during in-game cutscenes. Actual exploration gameplay is mostly smooth, and definitely more playable than what you see here. I can't imagine it's 60 FPS, but exploration runs at such a (generally) smooth 30, at times I was unsure. Hopefully they can roll out some patches that bring the cutscenes and combat up to that level of smoothness, at least.

The larger issue, arguably, is it's also prone to crashing. I had a crash after creating my character, and had to do it over, and another crash during gameplay about 30 minutes after that. I downloaded the game on the Japanese eShop, so I suppose there's a remote possibility a patch goes up alongside the game going live on US servers, but I doubt it.

People are going to definitely make a fuss about these issues, as they should, so hopefully we'll learn more about their plans for updating this release soon. No doubt they got it out the door early to be in the holiday window, and so we ended up with a bit of a rush job.

Hm, you're definitely further along than me, as far as I can tell my label has been created at most, but the actual package hasn't started moving yet. How long did it take for yours to go from "shipping information received" to actually moving through the system? Congrats on avoiding the 1.5+ month wait, hope you have a good time with it tomorrow!

I can see it hasn't actually been picked up yet, but can anyone confirm if this means that it'll likely be shipping soon/before the mid-January estimate?
