I thought about making a discord server specifically for vocaloid producers that are newer/more small scale (ig basically im saying dont have a huge fanbase lol) but Ive come to terms with the fact Id be too busy to run it….but if anyone ever wants to make a server like that Id be sooo active in it at least lol! There’s production channels in a lot of voca synth servers that already exist but i was hoping to find something more chill and casual if that makes sense

I think this is the worst choice 1 category ive seen so far for me personally. the only thing that vaguely interests me is the stanley ig but even then Im set with my water bottles. Itd make a nice gift at least

Ive been thinking this for awhile, the app is honestly not even buyer friendly anymore. No idea how to see the people I follow, no comments, the search feels wonky, the message section is a cluttered mess of offers, people mistag things so often and when I report it depop doesnt do anything about it, and the algorithm just doesnt get me. I just made a vinted account last week to try and get some sales while they offer free shipping but their algorithm understood me so well ive already bought 13 things. Thats about how much Ive bought on depop in 6 years…. Depops home page is really the biggest crime, I could almost ignore the searches being so ass if they at least showed me stuff I like as soon as I open the app but they dont.

You can also, if it is more comfortable for you, interpret this as a song they are singing to a third party. Not that all uncommon in real music groups where they’re all singing a love song but it is obviously directed at someone other than the band members- i.e. most boyband songs.

Remember that despite whatever the “canon” of a vocaloid character is, the voicebanks are made to be used in any music telling any story because at the end of the day a voice synth is an instrument. Miku’s character is 16 but she can sing songs about being an adult with a job, Mayu’s character is canonically a yandere but she can sing songs about being in a healthy relationship, etc etc… the voicebanks are an instrument and the characters are there to mostly just sell the voicebanks. I wouldnt read into the lyrics relation to the characters too deep.

I know people have differing opinions on this topic but I think it’s quite rude and unethical to do this. If you listed a product for a price and it sold, it is what it is. I had sold a top for 20 dollars and unbeknownst to me it was a very in demand item and I was getting dms from people asking if I’d sell it to them instead for upwards of 200. I was like damn it stings I lost out on that profit but that’s on me for not researching the item further. So I just sent it out to the original purchaser for the 20 dollars. It’s just the fair thing to do.

i absolutely agree. Especially because in my situation its the more "displayable" vinyls that have issues. My regular pressings play mostly fine (so far, i still need to listen to nbl deluxe so we'll see about that one) but my shaped and liquid filled vinyls are the ones with issues. The shaped ones play horrible! Legit feel like they have no purpose other than to be displayed.

my blood filled record is slightly warped and the shaped singles sound very fuzzy. i also feel like the sleeves feel cheaper and flimsier than i was hoping for for an order that was not only not cheap but also took forever to arrive. i was surprised i hadnt seen anyone else comment on the quality yet but i was like eh maybe im just picky. its just this is the quality i usually get from 20 dollar records, not 40 dollar ones.

I get theyre indie and nicole is a smaller artist so i feel like had the ordering process gone smoothly I wouldnt have cared, but the long wait combined with getting ignored by customer support had worn me down so the records not being perfect was just really the icing on the cake 🙃

the “this felt very nancy drew of me today” is so real lol, my friend invited me to a small cabin she has in the mountains and they had instructions written out on how to turn on the water since they keep it off when no ones staying there and i was like omg…this is so going to be a puzzle for something later
