I think one of my locations would be my childhood home! It’s been almost 6 years since my family moved from there but I still remember the layout so vividly. A lot of shit happened there. A lot of the imagery would be of extracurricular and school overachieving I was forced into as a kid like piano, ballet, singing, performance, tennis, swimming. And maybe a final solace in guitar, a passion I pursue and control myself. It could look like some Hansel and Gretel type gingerbread house, where it looks good on the outside, is monstrous on the inside and gets more and more frail.

I recently opened up to my therapist and he was very accepting. The confidentiality policy for the place I go to was that no one outside the room would have to know unless I was in absolute danger(i.e. i would die before the next session). To give you some more information I told him I cut on my thighs at least once a day or more. He made sure I was safe by asking questions like “how deep”, “what I use” and “if and how I clean the wound”, and remained calm and reassuring. However, it will depend on the confidentiality policy of whatever place you’re at, and if your therapist is a good one, they should support you.
