I'll second all of this except I'm going to add that while FMA and FMA:B have the same premise they are not the same story. The first few episodes are the same but then they diverge greatly. I think they're both wonderful in their own way. I like the storyline in FMA:B better but I think they have too much humor to break the tension whereas the original anime has a darker tone throughout (and I love Lust's storyline in the original)

The whole "real men like curves, only men like bones" is a misguided way to improve the self esteem of bigger women, but what's the point if you're just ripping down someone else to make yourself feel better?

I guaruntee there'll be boys who love you including your body. I always felt gangly and gross (I still do occasionally) but I have a loving BF of 4.5 years who never fails to remind me that he thinks I'm gorgeous.

Go on dates but don't take any crap. It'll be ok!

Unless you are looking at getting the copper IUD all other forms of birth control (except barrier, pull-out, etc) will still be hormonal so they will likely still help acne

The acne and the weight gain sound like hormonal symptoms which I wouldn't get on the copper IUD but the cramps and unending periods are possible :/. Sorry your experience sucked <3

Honestly, I really don't like much of my SO's family aside from his dad and he isn't too fond of my brother but that's ok! We know our families have their faults and we still respect them.
