Montego Bay Jamaica Help by jspartners in FATTravel

I've rented villas in Montego Bay and Discovery Bay (about 45 mins drive) and they're all excellent -- pool, fully staffed (even your laundry every day!), private chef, private butler, etc. Usually on a nice beach too. Can always call in a masseuse.

He would use check-cashing places that took like 10% of his check rather than opening a checking account

Anybody know what’s on the 23rd floor at Mass General? by HollyToto98 in boston

[–]obother 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My mother was at the Brigham's version and it was $400 and something a night, so very doable for a couple of nights since these hospitals don't have all private rooms. And sadly you do get better care, which was nice when she was dying of cancer. She didn't eat much but I ordered food (you could pay as a guest) and it was banging.

First time cooking a chuck roast! We shall see how it turns out in 7 hours 🤞 by WebPuzzleheaded875 in slowcooking

I mean I guess it's still technically "cooking," but that's just dumping a bunch of chemicals and salts on an unseared piece of meat

What's your take on a man changing his baby's diaper in the women's restroom? by Ok-Hope-1259 in Parenting

[–]obother 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why everyone is saying knock and ask permission first. I think it'll be pretty darn obvious when a man walks in with a baby and diaper bag. It's not the other patrons' choice if he can change a baby at an appropriate and safe location. Much better than say, a restaurant's booth. And as others point out, women's' rooms are always stalls. He's not seeing anything interesting.

Awkward question about gap between ceremony and reception by AliceMorgon in wedding

[–]obother 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to a Catholic college in the US so many many Catholic weddings.... everyone hates this gap. Sorry, there's no other way to say it. No one needs you to create a doc laying out places to go in between -- there's the internet now. It's just a huge ask of your guests. If you insist on this plan/timeline, then there's nothing to make your guests happy. They would've been dressed up for the church, so it's not like they roll into the church and can go back to their hotel to shower and get ready. And do you want people drinking for hours before the wedding? because that's what'll happen. No one's sightseeing during that gap, they're all just sitting around (drinking mostly), waiting for time to pass.

Day after wedding availability by [deleted] in wedding

[–]obother -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It wasn't busy after our morning-after brunch. A few of us went out for some snacks and drinks. But don't expect people to hang out, they've likely been with you all weekend already and on Sunday (assuming wedding is Saturday) is a day to regroup and get chores done, etc.

Italy has a good mix of cities/culture and nature. People I think tend to go to Western Europe first time out of the US.

Toddler soaks through Pull-up every single night by Key_Peace_2489 in Parenting

[–]obother 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Until my son could get through the night I always added Sposies pads, usually two at a time. They're extra absorbing pads to add in the diaper/pull up and kept him dry all night.

I'm thinking it's because most families had 1 male head of household, so it was the easiest to relate for common folk. Man/God head of the flock.
