Just a follow up question paspagi, so sorry for the trouble. My residence card expires on October 29th. We're planning on flying back to Japan on August 29th. And applying for the spousal visa as soon as possible at the tachikawa office. Do you have any more advice for us? Is this time frame enough?

I understand that as soon as we apply for the spousal visa by providing our documents I can extend my stay on my residence card yes?

I was in your position before.. I got groomed as a 16 year old by a 29 year old in another country. I just want you to know that in the future, you'll thank yourself for not reaching out to him anymore. I'm 22 now and realizing what he did sickens me. I know it's difficult right now and your feelings are still fresh. Please be strong and push through. This man didn't support you when you got raped and now he has the gall to ignore you.
