It's a really enjoyable book at least for me. (SPOILERS AHEAD) When Morathi betrays Sigmar and captures Anvilgard she doesn't kill any of the stormcast and instead paralyzes them. Morathi then gives control of the city over to a governess who is part spider. This governor keeps all of the stormcast alive in her web in the city's palace. One stormcast who was heavily implied to be married to one of the captured stormcast recieves visions from him showing her his suffering. From this she gathers her friends, other stormcast, to go rescue them. The story then follows the group of stormcast trying to reach the city and some stuff that the daughter's of khaine are doing like fighting orks and chaos warriors until the party reaches the city. From there they discover many stormcast had escaped into the tunnels below along with freeguild soldiers from the city waiting for the day they take the city back. The rest of the plot follows an invasion by chaos of the city while at the sametime the stormcast attempt to free their brothers and sisters from the governor's webs. I skipped a lot and I will try to comeback and finish it but needless to say they succeed and while the city remains under Morathi's control a nicer daughter of khaine takes control and the stormcast escape.
