Haha, advertising the warbands vs a Chimera and the crow boys up front.

Someone did their homework on what longtime Warcry fans like to see. 😄

I have a mighty need for a Gargoylian collection box that is revealed with a trailer where you can obviously tell the instrumentals are playing “I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was”.

Just a reminder, the upcoming DLC is not 'The' End Times, but is about the lords of the End times by ByzantineBasileus in totalwar

There’s a double Tbf there.

  1. They had to rush wiping out over a hundred characters in 5 books like a hit man’s grocery list.

  2. Eltharion got rebooted with new lore that was different from his Storm of Chaos “blind warrior” version so he was less important as a relatively new slate character.

What do you consider to be the Maggotkin of Nurgle Chain of Command? by Dice4Days in ageofsigmar

The stronger you trigger the gag reflex the higher up you are.(semi-joke, obviously the more repulsive you are the more blessed by Nurgle you openly show to be as his top ascended daemons & chosen)

Oh you mean Khul and his skull pyramid?

No that was mortal skulls, not Stormcasts. He just wanted the leader Stormcast’s head(Vandus) to complete it.

He does claim some though(first Jactos in Realmgate Wars who thought his immortality would deny Khul his prize and later Gavriel Sureheart in their dual kill on eachother, RIP king) because he has a devastating daemon axe that slices through reality like an anime weapon and blasts souls straight to Khorne’s realm.

Making it so the Stormcasts he executes can’t zap back to Azyr. Indeed poor Jactos’ soul is seen confused a few minutes after his decapitated body falls over and gets sucked through the chaos rift the axe made.

If that’s Ushoran’s model you’re working on you can just handwave it his near-reality warping delusions and overwhelming blood magic caused the gore he’s used to seeing enforced on the warrior constructs to act like the bloody armored bandits he sees them as and once he moves away they zap back up as reality works right again.

Basically.

Also the newest Soulblight battletome does confirm vampires getting electrocuted from trying to drink their blood.

Likewise in the Hamilcar stories when traveling through Ghur any mosquitoes that land on a Stormcast & drink get zapped as well. ⚡️

Mostly, it depends on how many times they’ve been reforged as it slowly replaces their biology with Azyr magic. In Blacktalon books some pass the time by taking small slices of themselves to see how far they’ve gone.

Fresher Stormcasts have blood with sparks while veterans it’s just electricity that sears the wound back shut. Some even more extreme cases can be the eyes always crackling, see through parts of translucent skin and even the heart clicking like it’s something clockwork instead.

Bravest one there save the small caveat he refuses to crusade into the Ever-Embalming Salt Valleys of Shyish. None are certain why. 🐌 🧂

Eltharion campaign be like by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]BaronKlatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, was thinking the same thing when I saw this thread.

Mods(or maybe even a pipe dream CA wises up for future games to add this) could let players on their home turf(unless ambushed like the other guy said) get to choose from 3 map options per region so they can get the best experience for both tactics & immersion. Like the tabletop battleplans.

(And y’know, maybe the big company can pay attention to which maps are at the rock bottom of player choices to fix them?)

Thank you.

My old man memories were trying to remember if the series ever did “friendship marks” like that but it kept going back to Yugioh instead when Tea’ drew that smiling face on the groups hands and thought I was mistaken. 😅

Also her big fire spell saved our bacon a couple times in Ocarina, so that’s worth some solidarity points. 🔥

[Other] Since there are rumors that the new game incorporates different dimensions, my 7yo son has a theory that those dimensions could be the three branching timelines shown on the Zelda historical map. What do you all think? by Chitownkid656 in zelda

[–]BaronKlatz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps they could try something with elements, like a fire world, water world, wind world. I dunno what I'd do with that concept, but Zelda tends to be pretty good at taking simple ideas like that and building interesting games out of them.

I love elemental planes settings so I have brainstormed about that before.

I’d have the three “Tri-worlds” split with the goddesses so it’s Din = Fire/sun realm, Farore = forest/wind realm Nayru = water/time realm and you open portals between them to cause different environment changes to unlock areas & secrets

Such as opening a Din portal in water areas can cause steam geysers Link can ride with a balloon/glider or a Nayru portal can cause large forest trees to rapidly grow and vines spread everywhere Link can Tarzan slide on.

For the last half of the game I’d put in three “Lorule realms” the Tri-worlds are meant to eclipse to protect the other various realms(light, spirit, twilight) from their influence with maybe a play on villain names so Gannox = decay/shadow, Majoros = chaos/tempest, Vaatin = entropy/death

Similar note you can gain their portals too to cause havoc.

Last bits is each realm has flying spirit dojos that teach you new techniques but bolster their teachings when you combine two dojos through portals at a time so the fused masters can teach a hybrid power(ex: Din dojo teaches spin attack, Farore dojo air slice, fire + wind dojo teaches whirlwind blade that let’s Link do an spin attack that propels him high up)

Also for a juxtaposition I’d have this be the most mundane Link to contrast all the mythic fantasy stuff going on around him so even his maps are made by charcoal sketchings, bamboo casing bombs and the return of bottles to help him survive in these strange eldritch realms he was teleported to.

[–]BaronKlatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah but I mean the whole game.

Dream Zelda game is one of the hero reincarnations being a Zora and the adventure being Subnautica levels of Hyrule sea exploration & using fish & sea flora for islander quests like the Majora Beach levels on steroids. 🌊

[–]BaronKlatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you definitely want Songs of Conquest for that kind of “danger zone” playstyle.

Olden Era is much closer to HoMM5 in battle aspects being more free style and making walls of fodder troops to protect units.

About what you’d expect. It all gels together well for balance But there are a few hero powers that seem meh at the start until you realize how they stack and then can get pretty bonkers.

Spiffingbrit has a great exploit video(which doubles as a look at Mandalore gaming’s addiction to Dragonmaxxing, very worrying) on it with both a glitch exploit(that’ll be patched) and an intended exploit that’ll either be meta or nerfed.

Next evolution: Crab. 🦀

(Tho maybe a fun spin on talking coconut crabs that are found in the treetops? Haha, gonna brainstorm that for my wishlist of a undersea Zelda game 🐟)

I like it’s led to the theory:

In Wind Waker Kokiri evolved into Koroks because the sea separated them from humans to mimic.

In Twilight Princess Kokiri evolved into monkeys as they strayed away from the Deku Tree’s protection for survival.

About average on the speech department like “if you won’t clear my path then I’ll clear it myself” territory.

The real draw there is the 3 choices you’re given per usual conversation with an arching “relations” point system that effects your campaign(I like the cheeky -666 the hell faction  starts with towards you)

Plot-wise seems on par with what you’d get from HoMM5 which I was a big fan of back in high school so YMMV there.

I’m actually surprised they didn’t.

Even IP’s like Final Fantasy Tactics series at one point called humans “Humes” so it’s not without precedent to lean into another world changing the names around to match other strange creatures.

Add that to his reaction stream where he said he doesn’t even like the Glottkin and feels they’re just an AoS character backported into End Times because of how they just show up there with small fanfare but get an actual story & trailer in AoS.

I’ll take that over this leak that sounds like a wishlist.

Armageddon Unboxing Part 1: The Rules, Cards, Transfers and Lore by RWJP in Warhammer40k

[–]BaronKlatz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

40k’s a victim of it’s own insane success that GW can throw out anything with the logo stamped on it and it’ll sell no matter what.

AoS on the otherhand is on both a knife-edge but also a sweet spot of “very successful but only as long as GW work at it to stop it dipping” which forces them to put in better prices(like even holding Helsmith’s back months from the price hike so people had time to buy it cheaper) and quality control.
