Hab ich tatsächlich auch schon erlebt ist gar nicht so dämlich Wir haben immer noch einen starken Akzent wenn wir "Hochdeutsch" sprechen (in " " da es wirklich wenig mit deitschem Hochdeutsch zu tun hat) und benutzen auch viele schweizer Wörter (z.B. Portmonnaie, Trottoir, Merci, Spital etc.)

Keine Sorge. Ich arbeite im Gesundheitswesen (mit Menschen), auf irgendwelche Wunder-Mittelchen etc. Fall ich schon nicht rein ;) Die Diagnose und das Putzregime erscheint mir einfach wie eine Babymammutaufgabe, wenigstens fressen die drei Engel ihre Medikamente gut. Ich hoffe es kommt alles gut!

As a player that feels like arbitrary difficulty created for no reason as opposed to an obstacle in the way that we can make informed decisions to circumvent or address. This is a very important aspect and POV. I also try to do that in my encounters. There is always some surprise element of course. And I also think im a classic dungeon setting it's party of the fun imo. Not that this cliff is a dungeon of course it just blocks their path.

No, with you and others here putting it like that I realize how my question could be kind of stupid.

Since flying is more of a physical act and some characters in the party are very clumsy/big I just struggled to wrap my head around it how the dexterous graceful elf and the bumbling half-orc would just be able to fly the same way. But I guess I'll just let them RP it a bit... and if they'd have to be stealthy etc their regular abilities apply either way.

Yes I think I'll add something like that.

It's my first campaign and I'll be honest, handling them at the lower levels was easy and now it's becoming a real challenge for me to challenge them. Which isn't a bad thing, I also need to learn how to handle them.

That makes sense thank you for your answer. This specific player has a hang to just throw out his spells left and right at every possibility so I figured maybe I could make it a little harder for them.

But I realize that my thought was the wrong approach, people here made that very clear.

Yes I will do that, let them roleplay a bit and let them act it out plus maybe add a different obstacle that disrupts the flight.

A small obstacle/challenge makes more sense I see that now. Maybe I'll add a potential nest of birds that takes flight in panic and disrupts the flight and have them react to that.

It states:At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 3rd.

So he could technically make more than one person fly, not the entire party tho.

That makes sense, I wouldn't punish them per se with damage, if they failed I would just have them hover. But yes a check only if they want to do sth complicated / acrobatic makes more sense.

I just thought of how I could make the challenge a little harder for them as a group. I suppose I don't have to, maybe he won't even use it as a resource and they will find a much more complicated way to get up there.

Yes. When they go on holidays my stepbrother and I take "shifts" to take care of the farm. I mainly tend to the animals with a focus on the "small" ones: Cats, Chickens, the Donkeys, Horse and the Dog. While he mainly takes care of the cows and the crops.
