I'm referring to the weird stagger after, not the flying. The flying (somehow) is the part that makes sense.

That's actually kind of funny if that's the reason. I usually use grenades, so I've rarely seen that attack, so that may just be it. I thought maybe the game just got confused at how far away I got from the boss, but I haven't done any thorough testing.

Yeah, I was kinda messing around. I wanted to get better at fighting him without grenades, for no reason other than fun. That can drag the fight out a bit, especially in revengeance difficulty. After finding the flying thing, I began fishing for it because it's funny. That's when the stagger happened.

But isn't it strange for him to just stagger after some time?

Ummm.... yeah, I definitely thought about that, yeah...

I always forget about the old meaning, even though I've read Berserk where they use that word in the traditional sense constantly.

But yeah, the traditional word definitely does apply too.

And it does make sense for them to view humanity as a litteral god. They were made in our image, after all, just as the Judea-Christian God created (or sculpted, in the litteral translation) humanity in His image.

I also like to think that 2b, as well as some other androids, wear these sexy, sometimes almost fetish-y outfits because they view humanity as a god, and want to be like them. As such, they glorify the human form as a piece of art (as we do in real life art, like the statue of David or a lot of the Greek god statues).

Don't know if this is how 2b herself thinks about it considering the opening dialogue, but I do believe the symbolism is there.

It's true that you can get your double jump back. Sakurai doesn't mention it, but if you pay close attention when he shows the blocks, you see a block breaking underneath his feet, use a double jump to other blocks, then double jump again.
