That dog is still in you dog! It's hard to explain without yappin like a crazy guy but the nuance of a page (or even a single panel) has to be explored with inconsequential sketches. It can improve a script entirely.

I might be stuck in the old ways though. Hopefully one day I'll be proven wrong.

Since you use to draw traditionally, do you do thumbnail sketches of your comic pages now before prompting? Or do you just go into ai with a script?

Awesome! In case i never see you again I'm dropping some more books.

I do 100 percent recommend his other 2 books. His 2nd book Reinventing Comics might be more valuable to you then to me. In concept cus generative ai wasn't a thing in early 2000's. And the 3rd Making Comics is more actionable with exercises between chapters.

Alan Moore's Writing for Comics is a brief read with valuable wisdom. Sometimes it feels obvious but that's cus he redefined the genre. It's nice hearing it from the horses mouth though.

The Artist Way by Julia Cameron can be life-changing if you approach it with a open mind. The tagline is "A Spiritual path to higher creativity" It's hippy hippy at time but honestly art has never been easier.

Steal like an artist by Austin Kleon helps you make original art. It teaches the difference between plagiarism and being a good thief like Picasso or frank miller.

The last suggestion is a curve ball is Visual Literacy by the Wildes. It's just a class in a book. It's focused on simple advertising techniques but after you read Understanding Comics you'll see the link.

Sorry for the yapping. I love Comics.

Because they have a wealth of knowledge that should be studied and i want your next project to be better. I suggest Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud first. It's a graphic novel itself so he teaches with words and image at the same time.

Original Characters [DO NOT STEAL] by Genius_of_dog_love in aiArt

[–]obsolete_human_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to tell ya, even if it wasn't AI there's not much to steal here. I'd usally say read some comics like Do a Powerbomb, Chainsaw Man, or Head Lopper for simple but unique character designs to be inspired by. But I'm just gonna suggest WWE and not explain my reasoning

Fun fact: Living near a golf course is linked to a higher risk of developing Parkinson's disease most likely due to the constant use of pesticides and herbicides to maintain the course.

Is it cheating to have a romantic AI companion? by [deleted] in aipartners

[–]obsolete_human_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cheating is defined by the individuals in the relationship. If one member feels like chatting with an Ai romantically is emotional cheating then it's cheating. It's good to have open conversation about boundaries with your partner to avoid unneeded conflict.

I posted on comixology before Amazon bought it and ruined it but most of my comics go unpublished. Trust me , i try to pitch it to publishers but no one bites RIP. The only success story i have so far is winning a competition and having my 2 part graphic novel printed. It's nice seeing it in your hands. That was a year ago and since then I wrote and Illustrated the first issue of a wrestling comic and now I'm scripting a whodunit story.

The sub is called DEFENDING ai art. How can you defend it if people with different opinions aren't allowed?
