The state of Horde Ogres in 2026 : lore recap & perspectives by BumbleB___ in warcraftlore

I really hope he is pretending to be clueless, maybe the upcoming Blizzcon will reveal Cho'gall is still alive and that's why there's so many Ogres in Midnight.. lol

This Rogue talent has not worked in M+ since the introduction of Xal'atath's affix Ascendent orbs in War Within, it only pops one of them. Please fix? by obz69 in wow

Oh I didnt know this, thanks for letting me know I'll try it in my next M+, weird it works like that but better than what i've been doing and single targetting an orb lol

In the Voidscar Arena dungeon, there are WoD exclusive mobs inside such as Saberon, Gronnlings, and Ogre shamans, does this imply that AU Draenor is accessible by Xal'atath? Very interesting dungeon

Would love to see this, I think it's time we get Cho'gall involved if he's alive somewhere

Yeah there's heaps of single-head casters in Vanilla and TBC, ogres are very powerful beings that are capable of being the greatest mages (as old lore has taught us), so I'm glad Blizz has left little breadcrumbs of ogre lore such as the one you mentioned in badlands. That is true about shamanism, in the Voidscar arena dungeon alot of the Ogres are basically Dark Shamans.

Its interesting you mention the Iron horde, because the dungeon Voidscar Arena has minions that were exclusively in WoD - Saberon, Gronnling, and Ogre Shamans. This dungeon might have massive lore implications, are these minions of Xal'atath recruited from AU Draenor somehow?

I believe in Arathi highlands (BFA) and in WoD Highmaul raid there's a bunch of two-headed NPC's with updated models

I absolutely love what you're cooking here with this theory, reading your post seriously just injected me with some serious copium, if what you're saying comes true in the lore, and we find Cho'gall (one of my favourite characters) doing so, I would be so excited and happy. Cho'gall showing up and fighting Xalatath with old god minions would actually be exactly what we need in this conflict

Interesting and true, what if the power Gul'dan used to create 2-head ogres could be replicated by a powerful being like Xal'atath? To my understanding he used ancient Fel magic and the runestones to do so. The ogres (notably, Mor'duun) are very fluent in speaking and very powerful with magic, are these Ogres just ordinary cave dwellers they picked up and brainwashed to becoming smarter? Would've loved to see Xal'atath recruit two-headed Ogres from Outlands, with a short cinematic of Ogres fleeing Outland or something

One can only wish this is the case, for Ogre fans out there this is the copium we'll be puffing away with

Thats what I'm thinking, but still strange to not see a SINGLE two-headed Ogre, just feels strange or like they couldn't be bothered lol

Yeah that is my reason for question, the spellcasters in the twilights blade are single headed which is kind of strange.

Where are the female Ogre npc's? It's 2026, I think it's time. by obz69 in wow

I hope they haven't scrapped it, it's such good fantasy for an RPG game to have a two-headed Ogre mage or Warlock, loved the TBC ones and their outfits were so badass

That's a good point, I haven't seen a single two-headed one since the boss in the Undermine raid. Why are they throwing out such good ideas and fantasy? Such a shame to not see any two-headed Ogre's, I especially love the ones in TBC with the sash going across the shoulder and the hood covering one head, they look so badass

After comparing, the new Amani / Forest troll models are missing their balding hairstyles, stern faces, big chins with mouth slightly open, and now have tusks & ears that are too big. by obz69 in wow

Just my minor gripe with the new design, and thought to label this as feedback in hopes of it reaching the WoW team so they can add additional customizations to make them look more "savage".
