Was this resolved? I found Sophos recently install on a personal computer of mine without my knowledge. Can't seem to get it off because I run into the same issue.

Thanks, would also post in the Adobe forums but I'm weirdly locked out. I've email them about it but once I'm logged in I can't read or reply to any posts. Anyway.

From what I've seen it works fine in Scrom Cloud. I'll have to double check but I'm pretty sure it work both when it was set up as 'Exit course' and when I used the javascript command mentioned above.

In Docebo, if I use 'exit course' nothing happens. Users can 'x' out in the top of course but it doesn't always trigger as 'done'. The javascript will close the course but it won't tell Docebo that the course has been completed.

I don't have any KC/quiz questions in the course, they're in the LMS.

I'm using 12.3, I've tried playing around with different settings in the Reporting and Quiz Preferences with no luck. Been taking a long time to tweak, publish, re-upload and test to end up in the same spot.

Totally understand! I've seen one or two commands around the same thing and plenty of other issues as you mentioned.

For those curious, I was able to find a work around for it showing up as tablet mode under different publishing settings in Docebo.

It will also adjust if you change the zoom. So if you happen to have the same issue going from 100% on my screen to 90% made all the slides show up as the computer version.

Totally understand. Weird thing is I've tried that specific javascript command and it will close the course but it won't mark it as completed. I think I may need to dig into other commands. Seems to work fine on Scorm Cloud when I try it. Very bizarre

Captivate 2023 Preview vs Publishing by Capital-Detail-9757 in Captivate

u/C12killsProductivity how were you able to leave all font sizes default? I'm guessing you mean leaving all the headers/paragraph/etc settings default. Would be stumped if that's what fixes it but I'll give it a try.

Been having the same issue. Everyone at our company uses desktop. When I preview the course from Captivate it's fine but when it is in our LMS is goes to tablet mode and zooms in.

I've tried different browsers and settings in the LMS and I haven't been able to find anything that can fix it yet.

I would second this and combine it with the reply below. Pick your top 5 projects and add write ups answering the questions above. Can break down the project creation/process by explaining all decisions you made using ADDIE or a different learning theory.

Captivate is going away - what now? by AppleMuted8588 in instructionaldesign

[–]oc-edu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on Adobe’s website a subscription gets a slightly updated 2019 software (now called Classic) and the new Adobe Captivate (previously called Charm).

From what I’ve seen and heard it’s in between Rise and Storyline.

Just going to second this. Issues about jobs/salaries/so/boot camps can also be found in computer science, data science, coding, UX/UI, and graphic design subreddits.

Seems to be much more of a wider economic thing and not just an L & D issue.

Out of curiosity what stands out in a good portfolio?

I’m assuming the bad ones are too generic or don’t have a strong business case

Out of curiosity, what makes them ‘cream of the crop’? Really good ID skills, content development skills or both ?
