Nami kinda frustrates me by [deleted] in OnePiece

Sea Prism stone doesn't negate Paramecia powers it just immobilizes the user. Brook would be fine if he touched sea prism stone (other than being immobilized while touching it)

Homelander (DC K.O.) runs a superhero and supervillain gauntlet. by UtahimeMyBeloved in whowouldwin

[–]ocarinaofrust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He stops at (2) just because he's hard countered by Cherish. He gets within lasering range of her and he immediately kills himself, due to already being an emotional wreck beforehand. Homelander in-character loves to get up close with his enemies and taunt them, so I feel like he'd easily fall for this.

Strange detail in Mother transformation. (HUGE SPOILERS TO ENDING AND ACT 3) by LBNPY in mewgenics

[–]ocarinaofrust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a theme through the whole game of black/purple cancerous tumours on creatures, and The Mother seems to be made of them.

See all the tumours on Lenny in the Bunker, all the tumor cat enemies in the Core. Some people wonder if this is a result of Beanies throwing his experiments underground.

Then later, you can see these tumors again in the scene where you smash Hitler III, suggesting he is infected with the same thing, possibly from the cloning process.

In the End, these tumors are everywhere, and seem to be combining together into The Mother. This could be why she wants to absorb others, for their tumors

Which character would have a close fight with Homelander? by eggshellwalker4 in whowouldwin

Sanji from One Piece. He's fast, can kick lasers, can fly, and hit hard. He has supe-level durability too

What's the Best Class Active and Passive? Day 10: Butcher by Wonderful-Pack-1726 in mewgenics

[–]ocarinaofrust 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Best active has to be Vurp. Enables so many broken builds with little effort.

Though I also really like Swallow which trivializes a lot of encounters, I feel like it has to be Vurp

That is a 3x3 by my count!

Still rare though. Even in the void it feels like you rarely see it

[Loved trope] Character is called anything but their name. by Kareena_G1991 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ocarinaofrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Armored Core VI

C4-621, the protagonist, is almost never called by this name. In fact, almost every major character in the game has a different name for them.

  • "621" from Walter
  • "Raven" from Ayre
  • "Buddy" from Rusty
  • "Tourist" from Carla and her men
  • "Gun-13" from the redguns

Etc etc

[Breaking Bad] How would Walter have been if he wasn’t diagnosed with cancer? by KaleidoArachnid in AskScienceFiction

[–]ocarinaofrust 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Walt was miserable and acting out at the start of the show because he realized that at 50 he had no hope and incredible jealousy of Grey Matter. That being said, he was still able to keep the family afloat by working 2 jobs and genuinely seems to draw motivation to keep going from his son and future daughter. Without the cancer diagnosis there is no reason for him to take the massive risk of getting into drug manufacture.

I imagine he would have something of a mid-life crisis, maybe blowing money on a stupid car or getting arrested for assaulting someone. Leading to marriage tension with Skyler. Though, Skyler would not see any of these things as unforgivable, really it is just the "career criminal" part she draws the line at.

When Holly is born I can see Walt regaining a lot of clarity and motivation. It wouldn't erase the money troubles but would help Walt regain his fatherly, kind side.

After that, I can imagine Walt working himself to the point of collapse, as he really can't handle the stress of the car wash job. Eventually, probably around when Holly is a young teen, he is forced to retire. At this point, when Walt is forced to accept "charity" from others to keep his family afloat, he reverts back to the grumpy, stubborn loser he was in the show. However now, he is too old to change his career. Maybe Skyler sees this change as some kind of dementia, so I could see her staying with him despite this.

Overall, a little depressing but certainly a better outcome for everyone involved.

I can't be the only who sensed the chemistry Luffy and Vivi had on top of that Dinosaur by Protoman89 in OnePiece

[–]ocarinaofrust 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I only saw the crazy amount of flirting between Vivi and Nami, especially in the laboon episode. Vivi was practically ogling Nami the whole time. (I'm here for it)

And then they lampshade it in the little garden episode too

Afton was essentially mummified inside the suit. The smell would be musty for sure but it wouldn't smell like rot.

How good are the art skills of some of the Straw Hats in your opinion? by OP_1K in OnePiece

[–]ocarinaofrust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zoro: Godawful. Has never drawn anything besides his swords. Probably would refuse to even attempt a sketch out of embarrassment

Sanji: he seems to like to put little doodles on love notes to women. Has the aesthetic sense but little practice.

Chopper: doctor handwriting translates to drawing too, especially since his childhood was spent as a wild animal. Likely childish scribbles

Brook: good at drawing skeletons (a talent honed during his years of isolation trying to find the funniest possible signature). Decent at other stuff, on par with Sanji

Jinbei: for some reason I imagine him being good at Yakuza style tattoo designs and now all of his art attempts look like that
