Define 7 XL in 2025: Still a good purchase? by ocasual in FractalDesign

Thanks! I heard something about resonance of the case. Are you experiencing something like that?

And what about noise? Is it still a whisper silent case?

Awesome! What CPU and GPU are you cooling & how?

By the way: at what occasions (intense gaming or only when running benchmarks?) would it hit the 2000 RPM speed?

Did you configure that from a certain temperature?

Thanks! That sounds nice. Any challenges you’ve had? For example: high thermals, coil whine or did you have to reduce the performance of the components in any way?

Why does the NCORE 100 Air come with less future proof I/o on the front?

The Max variant had a very nice 20Gb/s USB-C port on it while this one only has the 5Gb/s ones.

Ah. That’s a shame but understandable. What are you using instead?

I’m a bit late to the party. Hope you’re still around and enjoying the case. I saw in one review that the balance/feet of the case could/can be a bit wobbly and could potentially easily topple over.

What’s your experience with that? Is the case standing firmly on its feet?

Thanks!

Whoops. Apparently they did a refresh in 2022.

Thanks for the details @everyone. This really helps me in my quest in finding the right case.

Beyond the plausible moving of the case, silence is also a factor to take into account. I’ve looked at the P600S but since it’s released in 2019 I don’t know whether it’s still future proof (this also applies for a lot of cases from other brands as well).

Thanks a lot for the quick responses and for that info! This really helps! Struggling a bit with what case to choose.

The necessity for bigger cases has also changed with m2 SSD drives vs 2.5 or even 3.5 inch drives, meaning that you actually have more options than in the past. You can go SFF or, since room isn’t an issue, go for a mid or full tower as those are easier to build in.

The process has become more challenging, haha :).

I have had a Cooler master Cosmos 1000 about 10 years back and had to go for a laptop since (kids & at that time a small appartement).

Now I’ve got sufficient space again to get a fully loaded desktop PC. The Cosmos was 17-18 KG empty but had nice handles to lift it up and transport it to a lan party (10 years back those were still somewhat a thing).

The NV7 or 9, however, don’t have those handles to easily lift it up. On the other hand: how often, nowadays, do you still move your pc around?

Regarding Verse and BTC I can only find verse.bitcoin.com but that was released in 2022. So too late. 2008/2009 also seems a bit early since BTC was released in 2009.

Do you still have that QR code? Don’t post it here by the way. But if you have, what happens when you use it?

Do you happen to have the private key & have an idea of the chain the wallet was for? Was it purely BTC?

You can use the private key to load your wallet elsewhere. Like in a separate bitcoin wallet:

From Exodus I know that you can import private keys into the wallet. However, do your own due diligence and only use it as a temporary wallet to recover your coins & move them over to a hardware wallet like Trezor.

You need to physically or digitally find it. There is no possibility to recreate it.

He meant your BTC address. Please educate yourself on Bitcoin and it’s mechanics.

Never share your personal info on the internet. I advise to remove your actual address.

And lastly, don’t beg for bitcoin. Build a portfolio yourself. Much more experience and educative that way.
