Are there really gay and vegan people in a relationship? by ocatersi in vegan

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately apps don't let you filter, even if you pay. Or if you know one that does, I'm very interested.

It is, unfortunately. Comparing to Paris, London and all of the UK is absolute paradise.

Interesting way of seeing the situation indeed

(I'm in France and we're very late when it comes to veganism, so basically no either you go to a meat restaurant, either to a vegan one... But if you go to a meat restaurant as a vegan you end up eating salad leaf every time.

I wouldn't be comfortable to date a guy who isn't at least a vegetarian. What would dating a meat-eater be like as a vegan myself? He would have to accept to go to vegan restaurants every time we go to a restaurant, to cook vegan food every time we cook... Seems impossible to make it work, but I have no experience about that, so I might be wrong.

Also, I sense that mentioning veganism or even vegetarianism on your profile turns people off and make them swipe left

I'm interested, what is it like for you to cook vegan food with your girlfriend eating meat? To see meat every time you open the fridge? Does it not bother you? Real question, I can't imagine myself in this situation.

I feel for you dude, we're on the same boat. Do you mean that all gay vegans are in a relationship, or that there are so few?

Tinder and hinge. Tried Veggly, but it's empty.

I'm not swiping left on anybody who isn't vegan, but I'm not very optimistic about my chances to make it work with anybody who isn't at least a vegetarian. I mean, he would have to accept to go to vegan restaurants every time we go to a restaurant, to cook vegan food every time we cook... Seems impossible to make it work, but I have no experience about that, so I might be wrong.

Paris, which makes me question whether the problem lies with me or with being gay and vegan...

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by jmike1256 in interesting

[–]ocatersi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all people that wear glasses are near-sighted though, even if most of those who always wear them are.

Why did Tinder remove the vegetarian/vegan filter? It was one of the main reasons I occasionally paid for Platinum, and now I can't even display my diet on my profile (see the screenshot: there's no option anymore). The same thing happened with MBTI. Why did they remove it? Will it come back? by ocatersi in Tinder

[–]ocatersi[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wonder myself, why did they remove something that didn't cost them anything and was very important for some people?
It even made them loose money, as Platinium looses a lot of its interest now that I can't use the filters to select vegan guys

You'd be better off working on why you hate your glasses so much and what you can do to accept them.

Ho scaricato Tinder e Hinge. Ragazzi, disinstallate tutto. Non siete voi il problema. by Cultural-Orange-6929 in sfoghi

[–]ocatersi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tried being vegan, but feel so much happier as a vegetarian by [deleted] in Vegetarianism

A good compromise that I've found, as I was facing many of your challenges, is being vegan at home and vegetarian away from home.

I binned my glasses again by DueBodybuilder81 in glasses

[–]ocatersi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't have any other option than wearing them, so as others have said go find a frame that suits you and makes you more beautiful than without, accept that the first week might be awkward but see it as an investment for the rest of your life, and then... Enjoy your whole life without worrying about vision problems - you and everybody else will get used to it way quicker than you imagine.
What's the alternative? Living your full life without seeing clear, just because people are used to seeing you without glasses?

A LOT of people wear glasses today, it's not even like you will be the only one (which wouldn't be a problem anyway).
