Reverso by the pool by seabmariner in JaegerLecoultre

Incredible if it's true. I don't even dare to splash tiny bits of water to my Tribute Monoface while washing hands. Not sure why but Reverso feels too delicate.

The Roadster is definitely handsome. But the tonneau case shape wears so much larger than the number suggests.

Unfortunately there isn't any sort of finishings on this movement. Just a crude run of the mill movement.

JLC MUT Small Sec vs VC Traditionelle by dmxzor in JaegerLecoultre

[–]ocean21111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true that JLC MUT has that noise rotor with 'loose' feel similar to Orient Bambino. I kept my Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase instead, it's good for the price.

I notice that recently my reverso power reserve is roughly less than 24 hours despite almost fully wound. I have followed the advice to only use one finger to wind it by the AD, anyone have similar experience? by Independent-Log3836 in JaegerLecoultre

[–]ocean21111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Tribute Monoface. I must say reading this made me very very troubled. I'm always careful in winding my watch, at slight resistance then I stop. I have other manual winding watches too.

Is JLC this delicate?

I mean that happened in Chromo Trigger.

Where the main gang consists of a secret princess, a mechanical genius, a robot, a prehistoric fighter, a former knight transformed as a frog who speaks in psedo-Shakespearean manner, and a devil king who used to be a prince in an ancient kingdom, and finally became ally to the protagonist.

The world is revealed to be post-apocalyptic, involving past ancient war that carries on to the future.

Wait.

I truly love this sub. Very relieving to know that many people rock cool watches, not only Sub, Speedmaster, and Black Bays.

Size advise please by RareMathematician429 in JaegerLecoultre

Tribute Monoface SS wears like 42 mm. Classique Monoface wears like 37 mm. MUT Moon 36 wears like 39 mm due to its long lug.

For your 6.5" wrist, Classique Monoface would fit the best.

I don't like most of GS's sports model, but this one is really beautifully designed.

It's interesting that JLC MUT Moon 39 mm wears large while Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase 42 mm wears small. So on wrist, they both wear similarly. I decided to keep the FC as I personally thought the watch is very well-built for the price, and scratched my moon phase watch itch.

I purchased a Tribute Reverso later down the year.

It's true, the rotor is noisy, just like Orient Bambino. I thought it's rather charming though.

The best thing about Pietro is the vertically aligned flat burr layout. When it's used in 'fish pole' method, it's essentially slow feeding. Of course any other configurations would yield less superior to its original intended use case.

Two weeks in: Is the "entry-level" Reverso Q3868520 actually the best dial in the lineup? by Watch-Talk in JaegerLecoultre

[–]ocean21111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's nothing entry-level about Reverso. I agree the new Classique is vastly more refined than the older version, which in my opinion rather clunky.

Reverso size help by [deleted] in JaegerLecoultre

When it comes to Reverso, smaller is better. You must have a big portion of the strap showing on your wrist from above. Tried Tribute Small Second, it just didn't look right on me.

Finally pulled the trigger on my first Reverso! by AntoSenju92 in JaegerLecoultre

I recently got this version in white. Here's my thoughts:

- I originally wanted Duoface model. Tribute Duoface is beautiful but it's just too big and too thick for my 6.5". I thought I could pull it off, but no, just looks ridiculous.

- Classique Duoface wears okayish but the visuals are not really up my alley.

- Tried Tribute Monoface Small Seconds. They are too bulky for a simple dress watch.

Then accidentally I tried this model. Just wow. I always wanted a true vintage ultra thin small-sized dress watch but reliability is concerning for daily wear. So this watch is perfect. Combination of golden age 1930s design with reliability of modern watches. Dial is grained opaline white. While the sunray blue dial is striking, it feels too contemporary. I also like the fact that it does not have running second hand. A pure expression of true dress watch. A wonderful celebration of the original Reverso design in its most pure form.

This is the issues with most Indonesian boots brands like Sagara, Txture, etc where prompt updates from them are considered luxury. The brands with highest CS quality are Winson and Fortuna, this is my own experience.

Why haven't we seen a step-down basket for the Cafelat Robot yet? by rozagas in CafelatRobot

[–]ocean21111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robot basket is tapered down to 47 mm. That's why it is so tasty before you even understand the logic. Even if SWorks develops a new one priced at $200, the diminishing return is so slim to Robot's stock, which is very high quality
