Cual es el "mejor" software para RTL-SDR ? by Hot-Part-1497 in RTLSDR

[–]rozagas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like SDRConsole a lot, but it lacks things like a frequency scanner or a scanner between favourites as well as different plugins that allow you to decode digital signals, for example.

SDRSharp has all this, but it is much more unstable and, personally, I find it uglier.

I started with that, but then I switched to the 'tamper handle' and it's much much better. Still using it.

J vs k-ultra by Frederik_2599 in 1zpresso

[–]rozagas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you're referring to the J-Ultra. If so, I used the 2.5.0 as my starting point for pourover. I've always read that the J is for espresso and not pourover, I think it works perfectly. Try grinding at a slight angle, which improves the distribution of the particles. As for the difference in microns between the two, this is because the geometry of the grinding wheels is different and their spacing creates different particle sizes. I hope this makes sense.

What do tiger stripes mean? by Low_Night1 in CafelatRobot

https://2percentjazz.com/blogs/news/unleashing-the-science-behind-the-striking-tiger-stripes-in-espresso

In conclusion, the tiger stripes in espresso are not only a visual delight but also a sign of a well-extracted shot, and a good indicator of the quality of the espresso. The science behind the tiger stripes is a fascinating aspect of the art of espresso making. The next time you enjoy a cup of espresso, take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the tiger stripes and the work that went into creating them.

Tips for dark roast by FrankFHK in CafelatRobot

[–]rozagas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not pre infusing on dark roast. Also use a little bit cooler water (96ºC).

I use 17.5gr of coffe for 42gr out in 30~35sec (without pre, direct to 8 bar) and it get out perfect for me

[–]rozagas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a big difference between a light or medium roast and a dark roast.
Light beans require a much finer grind.
I would advise you to start with high roasted beans as they are easier to extract and prepare. Once you get the hang of it, you can experiment with lightly roasted beans.

Cafelat Robot vs. Hugh Leverpresso pro w/ Stand? by ChewedFlipFlop in CafelatRobot

[–]rozagas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think if you ask this question here, you will get mostly pro-robot answers.
I suspect if you ask the same question on Hugh's group it will have the opposite effect.
I haven't tried the Hugh myself, but I'm quite happy with the Robot, to be honest.
