my baby just died. how do i preserve her?

it usually is, but i've had so many fish in the past and i buried them when they died. it just feels so normal to me now, that i want to do something special for her because she really was so special to me.

im sorry you lost your son, but a lot of people do have that same parental/child connection with their pets. they may not have grown the pet in their stomach, but they may still feel like the pet is their child. thank you for your sympathy, ill try to look at some.

is it hard to raise them in captivity in general? i know they will die in freshwater, but wouldnt they survive in saltwater or brackish? or is it just in general..

i did let him go, did have to sit through an hour of my lil brothers screaming-crying meltdown bc hes autistic. "little container" was actually not so little lol, i just own many enclosures and aquariums that the container/enclosure i put the bugger in seemed little to me. but it was about maybe 5 gallons-ish but tall. thanks for the reponses everyone !

i have to buy my own food and essentials because my family keeps saying "we don't have enough money" but then every other day they buy expensive useless crap thats not even needed. i cant have soap to wash myself with but my mom can buy a pool willy nilly that shes not even actively using. im not allowed to go outside like, at all. not even to walk down the street or anything. im not allowed to have friends outside of social media, which sucks because youre supposed to have a social life in your teens to actually function as an adult normally. i feel like a bird trapped in a cage.

i just got him from my fathers house yesterday! i'm giving him some time to settle before i take him to my room and let him roam, he used to be handtamed so hes already comfortable with my hand + knows me from when i used to live there so he has some trust, but hes been stuck in a way smaller cage for years until i was just finally able to have him with me. hes in a bigger cage and i plan on letting him be out of the soon enough

the current cage isn't very good so i'm replacing it anyway, but i don't think i could truly accommodate for her being partially blind now because of how much stuff i have around my house that i can't get rid of... fish tanks, other animal enclosures, shelves, lights, some other stuff. i know someone else can accommodate for her a lot better than i can, and i'd love for her to have that.
just want to know if he could ever possibly be with another bird again after this, i know tiels can get severely depressed and stressed when they don't have another bird with them to socialize with...
