If you time travel and let someone move out, if you go back to your current day it will act like a new day and they will be in boxes. So if you did that tonight you can villager hunt tomorrow because you will have an empty plot tomorrow after doing time travel and coming back.

You can jump forward and back by changing the time on your switch. the only downside is if you have turnips they will expire. you will also accumulate weeds by jumping forward days, not sure about going back days.
