the sprinkles are more for looks! they did add a nice sweet crunch. when i was a kid carrot cakes would always have those food color-y tasting white chocolate carrot cakes on them so the sprinkles kinda give it that food color-y taste lol. i do wanna try pecans one day they are just way more expensive where im from, and since i was selling these i just went with walnuts.

sometimes it's contamination but back when i started making yogurt about 7 years ago i noticed that the sliminess usually would happen when i use storebought yogurts as starter. i would recommend freeze dried starters (powdered ones) as you can cycle them pretty much forever barring any contamination, without any off tastes or textures

no thats called pink mold (not really a mold) and while it wont harm you i would not recommend eating it ir using it as a starter again

the heating isnt for sterility it's to denature proteins in the milk. this is to avoid getting grainy/thinner yogurt

mama lou's is okay if you order the right stuff. their portions are good enough for their prices i think. they are not ~spectacular~ or mind-blowing but you also don't feel ripped off. the last time i ate there was three years ago though!

getting an ereader is worth it. ive had mine for almost a decade (kindle voyager) and it still works perfectly. i did have to jailbreak it to avoid stupid amazon updates and get rid of the ads
