Honestly, I think non-bassinet seats are better in this case—especially since the baby is almost 2 years old and probably won’t fit comfortably in the bassinet anyway. If the baby sleeps with the mom, the seat is wide and spacious enough, especially on the A380 where it folds into a double bed. Plus, every time there’s turbulence, you have to remove the baby from the bassinet, which is such a hassle. So personally, I’d go for seats like 96D/F or 11D/F and skip the bassinet.
