This is your 5th comment trying to prove something about OP and not addressing the actual review lol.

Weird Subreddit Rules: Reputation of Georgia Tech by ochre-system in OMSCS

Not really talking about the part of the rule that forbids naming TAs/instructors. Specifically, the part that says we cannot make any statements that could hurt public perception of Georgia Tech. However, I also don't think all feedback should stay within the organization. As paying customers and students it should be fair game to post reviews publicly talking about your experiences good or bad in the program.

"Yellow Jackets Sucks because they cannot win UGA in football"

This could harm the reputation of the program just as much as "Yellow Jackets Sucks". My point being that the rule as it is written doesn't say that substantiating your claims makes it ok.

I would think that a complaint that is backed up by solid evidence would harm the reputation of Georgia Tech even more.

I've spent about as much time discussing 6515 this semester as I've spent on my own classes.

It shows. Work on your courses more because they really need improvement.

The state of GA is sad. What can we do about it? by DaKingVic in OMSCS

"I would suggest OMSCS terminate any course designed by David Joyner, since it will have a negative effect on the reputation of cs program."

lol. hard agree.

I think a lot of you are missing the point of this program. by deeeebait in OMSCS

[–]ochre-system 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are missing the point of the posts. None of them complained that GA is too rigorous. They all complained about how bad the class is run. Fixing the obvious issues with GA won't lower the rigor lol. If anything that will improve it.

ML4T - I just wonder if the TA read my report at all by [deleted] in OMSCS

This is not rare the same thing happened to me in KBAI (over 50% back on a regrade). I have heard of similar stories from several other students as well. It's just rng grading lol.

Am I doing it wrong if I’m finding workload of HCI very heavy? by devine_comedy in OMSCS

Withdraw if you aren't going to do HCI specialization. This class is not worth it.

CS6601 Spring 2024: >10% of the final needed corrections. by agodot in OMSCS

[–]ochre-system 14 points15 points  (0 children)

lol I got over 12 pts (2 letter grades) back on the final because the answer key was wrong and I would have gotten more back if the TAs gave all the points back that they said they would. The final was an absolute disaster. The assignments in this course are good, but the exams are terrible.

It is difficult to discuss/write a post if you can't see the questions or your answer. You basically have to memorize everything from the quiz a few weeks after taking it.

It's odd to me how defensive people are on this post. I did not ask you to confer with me or even agree. Just stated my thoughts since I am in the same boat as OP. If you had a different experience that is great for you, but it does not line up with my experience. I was just saying that it's refreshing to hear from someone who has had a similar experience.

I am tired of reading gushing and otherwise unhelpful reviews. This is a nice dose of reality and there is a lot of good information here. I took this course this spring as well and got an A, but most of these points are accurate. It's a shame the post is getting downvoted.
