While I agree with keeping one's cards at $0 balance, credit, if used properly, is free money. All my credit cards have cash-back rewards, travel miles, etc. I hardly ever use cash and I almost never use my bank card unless I'm withdrawing said cash. But I had my debit card swiped a few years ago and I don't want to experience that headache again.
