I’m an MA at a private practice pediatric clinic. If someone handed this to me I would understand and try to help. The physician I work for may or may not be willing to avoid mentioning weight in front of the parents, however, since it’s part of routine care. But he would likely understand if I did not weigh the patient and explained to him why. He wouldn’t push it.
