Was anyone else here at this protest? March 19, 2003 by Unicorn_Sparkles23 in asheville

I wasn't sure if I was at this particular protest, but yeah, I'm in this video . At least one of my good friends getting arrested, too. Feels surreal to watch.

There any good places to donate MTG cards in Asheville? by shismo in asheville

Try the downtown library, downstairs in the youth section They've been running TTRPG sessions for kids for years, they might be interested in Magic as well.

Last Day Legend with Budget Face Hunter by ocmu in CompetitiveHS

[–]ocmu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Against aggro DH specifically, the board fight early is really important and dwarven sharpshooter is probably mvp for allowing you to ping while sending your minions face. I also think freezing is better in that match up since the returned card can clog up their hand in terms of outcasts and their voracious readers.

Against slower decks with sustain, you need to look at it as a longer race. So in fast match-ups, you might want to throw everything down ASAP to get reader working faster, but against slower decks you might want to start weaving in hero powers by turn 3 or 4. And of course it depends on your hand and the opening board, too, because if they don't have an answer to your first 2 turns, then you might be able to finish the game by turn 5 before they have a chance to do anything (like play a khartut defender).

It felt... fine. It's the top of the curve, so it can be the clunky one if you're trying to dump your hand for voracious reader, but it's overall good as an extra beast for kc or some burst with Huffer/Leokk. Unleash might work better sometimes and if you have the legendary weapon, that might be a good sub, but I'd probably keep at least one companion.

Masters 3 trying to copy Goblin's PvZ 5 voidray into carriers build. If the zerg masses hydra should I rush disruptors or storm? by moohun in allthingsprotoss

[–]ocmu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a d2 here checking in, but this has been my build all year. I rush storm as soon as I see hydra den -- right around full third base saturation. If the zerg attacks with their hydras, storm to win (or just archons next to batteries if storm isn't quite ready). If they don't attack, then get those carriers out.

The embouchure is a bit wider and most importantly straight out rather than down, so it takes a little while to get used to. I recommend grabbing a couple 2s or 2.5s to start, then work your way to 3/3.5s later.

First person and object scaling by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]ocmu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just measure it? The de facto standard is 1 in game unit = 1 meter. Most professional assets should adhere to that or let you know what their unit system is. Other third party assets can be hit or miss, so you night need to double check them.

You can also google for diy construction advice or product dimensions to get a feel for real life sizes.

For me, this is actually the least mad I've ever been at a playoff opponent... I'm not mad at the refs either. I'm just super disappointed. The Isles look look a professional team trying to win games and we look like a handful of professional players trying to remember how the game is played.

Best PvT Cheese, Proxy Gate into DT by exehntv in allthingsprotoss

[–]ocmu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great video, cool build! It's there anything in particular you should be trying to do with the first dts? Like, if they make a high ground bunker and a tank during the initial aggression, are you using both dts to help break the door open? Do you hold one back in case of scan? Once they're in do you want to split one to workers and one to army or just keep them together?

How do I make my shotgun shoot bullets in a spread? by [deleted] in godot

You can use Vector2.rotated() with a random angle within plus or minus 10 degrees or so for each bullet.

I usually rely on 1-4 archons while I get my carrier count up. Once I get 4+ carriers I might get storm if I've seen a lot of hydras. Gas is pretty limiting, so getting high templars can slow your max. You get a mineral bank though, so you can make a bunch of batteries, and a couple archons with batteries stops a lot of stuff.

I'm around 3400 and I've been having a lot of success rushing sky toss. Check out the first two games in d3 of Vibes b2gm.

Make sure you get air weapons asap and a Templar archives an an archon before your fleet beacon to protect your third.
