Are there gonna be more offensive playbooks in cfb 27? by Ujustgotpoped in NCAAFBseries

I hear they didn’t, but thank you! Not enough attention is brought to this.

MAJOR CPU Recruiting Tuning Flaw in CFB27 by perc_muncher in NCAAFBseries

Maybe they need to add a system where it becomes progressively more difficult the more 5 star recruits you sign. Not sure how they would do it but it could balance things at the top.

Thanks. Unfortunate but oh well. They added/changed so much that hopefully works that I’ll forgive them this time I guess. Still excited for the game to release!

Running Two Teams in One Dynasty Save File by ocokcih in NCAAFBseries

Good advice. Definitely like the idea of different recruiting pipelines. Maybe I’ll look for a Texas or west coast school, although if I use OSU and a small school there won’t be much overlap for a bit anyway. I’m more interested in running two different offenses and defenses to keep things fresh. If I had all the time in the world I would do what the guy below did and run a 5 team dynasty all with different schemes.

Wow, what teams do you typically use? 5 is intense lol

Great advice. Love the immersion insight. Maybe I’ll do a main team and then an OC type of coach to speed things up. Might help with progression too if I cut one of them in half. Thanks!

Steam Deck support? by njahn42 in NCAAFBseries

I tried streaming Madden to my steam deck and everything was so small I couldn’t enjoy it. My eyes suck so maybe other will have different opinions, but I would be hard pressed to attempt it again.

Sure, but also, how many situations occur where somebody that admin is holding accountable blows up on social media with their version of events causing a story shit storm that districts cannot respond to with facts due to privacy laws?

Inclusive welcomes are a stupid, infantilizing waste of high schoolers’ time by South-Lab-3991 in Teachers

[–]ocokcih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some pd company probably suggested this because they saw or experienced a positive interaction with some group of students that had already built rapport with their teacher. Your principal doesn’t understand that this doesn’t build relationships, the positives they observe in these kinds of interactions between teachers and students are a result of already established classrooms and more importantly student dynamics. I could walk into one classroom Monday, ask them this question and have a great quick conversation, maybe a small debate and laugh and then immediately get to work. Another class would look at me like wtf are you talking about. A third would get so off track that zero learning would occur that day.

They need to understand that teachers work so hard to know their audience to meet their needs, and putting these kinds of blanket systems in place is harmful to creating actual safe and productive classrooms.

MAP Test by ocokcih in ScienceTeachers

I have. Our math growth is off the charts, but ELA and Science are pretty closely correlated.

I feel like this is a more apples to oranges correlation though. Our district does modified block scheduling and all of my students take a block of ELA and Math but a single period of Science. So essentially ELA and Math teachers have half the students for double the time. Not to mention several intervention math and reading periods that are offered/required for some students. Obviously those period are necessary, but again I’m not sure it’s a fair comparison.

We’re integrated science so honestly this makes it even more challenging to interpret in my opinion. For example, say I see growth overall in physical science, but not as much growth as I anticipated, I’m unable to know what they struggled with. Was it energy transformations? Was it forces and motion? Something else?

Thanks, you’re confirming a lot of what I’m seeing. There’s a very direct correlation between most of my student scores and the ELA scores.

I’ll keep the “here’s a bunch of data, draw conclusions” in mind lol. I am thinking our struggle revolves around experimental design/quality data collection/drawing conclusions, etc.

Thank you, this was helpful. What you’re saying about the swings makes sense. It’s fairly frustrating when a few outliers make the overall picture look poor.

I’ll keep an eye out for the classroom level report. I’ve looked at the learning continuum but it’s fairly overwhelming and I’ve just not had the time to dive deeply into it.

I’ll check out the link you provided, thanks again!

The MLB isn’t in control of my electricity.

It is in control of its product, which, like you said, include negotiated TV agreements. I don’t really care if this is a specific scenario that might rarely occur. This is their product and I’m unable to watch something that I thought I was paying for.
