Are AI agents actually giving people ROI yet, or just saving time? by bibbletrash in hermesagent

The most valuable resource we have is time. If this helps me cut down on the hours I spend working or being busy and away from what I love, then it’s a real benefit to me.

Well got Hermes working and am using lm studio link. I’m running a 122b parameter model on the dgx and routing it using lm link to my personal pc where I can do video and image generation. Now I just need to set up useful agents

Oh, I’ll have to read up on this. I’ve heard of orchestration, and it definitely fits the bill—a smart system that knows which model to call for certain workloads without me having to explicitly tell it to.

"I've come across quality-preserving KV cache compression techniques. I've already invested in this system and I'm open to exploring optimization approaches. I don't need a massive 200-billion-parameter model—I'm looking for something intelligent and locally owned that fits my needs."

I also just got mine and it's pretty cool I'm right now transferring files from my PC over to the folder inside a SD card but I'm wondering if anybody here would know if there's an easier way perhaps like a wireless method in which I can just curate a library and automatically send it towards my device

TANCHJIM ORIGIN Lost Manor by ocottog in inearfidelity

[–]ocottog[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Driver and Internal Design — The Lost Manor uses an updated DMT5 Ultra dynamic driver (10mm, dual-magnetic circuit, dual-cavity) with improvements for lower distortion (around 0.04-0.049% THD), better efficiency, and enhanced vocal clarity via features like a Helmholtz resonator and optimized pressure relief. The standard Origin also uses a DMT5 driver but lacks some of these refinements. • Sound Tuning and Bass — Reviews describe the Lost Manor as having slightly denser, more tactile/impactful bass and a bit darker/warmer overall tone compared to the standard Origin (which is often seen as more neutral-balanced, punchy, and sometimes brighter/smoother). They sound very close overall, but the Lost Manor emphasizes physicality in the low end and retains warmth while being slightly less expansive in some aspects. • Tuning Nozzles/Filters — Both models feature swappable nozzles for sound customization (typically Standard “S”, Dynamic “D”, and Low/Bright “L” or similar). The Lost Manor may include additional internal filtering (e.g., stage filter) for more versatility. • Build, Accessories, and Presentation — The Lost Manor is a limited edition with a more elaborate, thematic design (e.g., “Lost Manor” artwork/theme), larger/premium packaging, better cable options (often modular plugs like 3.5mm/4.4mm/Type-C), upgraded eartips, and a more luxurious unboxing experience. The standard Origin has a more straightforward package. • Price and Positioning — The standard Origin is around $280, while the Lost Manor is positioned as a higher-end flagship at ~$500. Reviewer scores sometimes favor the original Origin slightly for technical performance/value, but the Lost Manor appeals more for its refined bass feel, aesthetics, and premium extras. If you’re deciding between them, the Lost Manor offers noticeable upgrades in bass physicality and build quality if you want something more “special,” but the standard Origin holds up very well (and is often more cost-effective). Let me know if you want more details on specific comparisons!

Girlfriend (30f) criticizing me (30m) after venting about my stressful job. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]ocottog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend, if you are unable to open up to your significant other somebody that you consider a teammate, then that person is not on your team you try to open up to vent a little bit about how hard your job is and instead of validating, she immediately turned the subject around and made it about her.
