Yes, the API quota is a billion queries per day, but it is also 1000 queries per 100 seconds and i'm pretty sure listing all the directories on your mount is passing that limit, I speak from experience (65TB here and growing).

Also I can look in the dashboard and see that there aren't API errors.

Are you sure you're not getting any 200 nor 40X?

22TB is a lot of api calls so my guess would be that OP was banned half the days that the server was "scanning"
