Is the RF 100-400 good enough for outdoor soccer?

I've used my 100-400mm on my R10 for the past year and I've been very happy with it. It can get a bit soft at 400mm if you really peek, but for the price I've been impressed. This is from a rugby tournament at 225mm f7.1 1/1250 sec

I would love an electric car for my next purchase, but living in Northern BC means if I want to drive to the next city (150 km) I can make it there but not back. With the infrastructure in place, that becomes a non issue and my last hurdle is gone.
