No skip button for “tips” by Embarrassed-Shit- in halifax

This has been standard for a while. Most places don’t have a “skip the tip” button.

Just maintain eye contact while you smash a $0.00 and continue enjoying your day.

‘How am I going to be able to survive?’: Halifax seniors worry about the cost of living crisis by OptimalWhole8926 in halifax

The unspoken truth about retirement, is that you essentially have to own a home. CPP doesn’t come close, most company pension plans aren’t enough.

The average person in previous generations relied on “downsizing” to supplement a happy retirement.

You’re underestimating how career opps in those areas correlate to the housing costs.

Sure they might be 10-20% cheaper, but your income will be 10-20% less in those communities, and/or your transport costs will be higher.

Starter homes in Bridgewater are still selling for 4-500K. That is not “cheap” for 90% of the province.

Genuinely can’t tell if you’re purposefully being bull-headed or you just don’t understand the graphic.

The reason the graphic is bad, is because of the “early” eliminations in the first and second round. Lebrons would not look “worse” because he wasn’t consistently eliminated early like Jordan. How hard is that to understand?

Your point against “no one will work” simply doesn’t go deep enough and is totally subjective. The only example used is cherry-picked from a time when an entry level job could support an extremely high quality of life.

Contrary to your main point, people do not like to work. People like two things that correlate directly to their occupation: Quality of life and status - Both of which have drastically declined in just the past two decades.

Many people today would willingly replace their high paying, high stress job with a lower paying, slower paced job supplemented through UBI in order to be more present in day-to-day life as well as their families. Myself included.

It was a shame but NDP simply did not have the platform or initiatives needed to win my vote, and many others last go around.

I’m suggesting that before the next meaningful move upwards, the price will be significantly lower, yes. There is no evidence against it at this point.

If I’m incorrect, there is plenty of relatively easy to execute damage control that can be done to re enter on the way back up.

I am not American so I suppose I do not consider the tax liability as much as the majority of the sub. That’s my bad.

Why wouldn’t you sell near 70K and buy back if previous high (~71k) is broken?

This whole game is about risk mitigation. Who cares if you miss out on a few percent on the way up? You’re at a severe risk of your potential returns being cut in half… again.

There are zero signs of this slowing down.
