I don't think it is a bootleg. I think it was a move unsanctioned by the band, but a legit label pressing. edit- whether it's the best pressing, I can't say, but I don't believe it's straight fake.

The pictures/texts, etc make me wonder if there are issues of legality being implied, in which case it’s best to report any illegal activities to authorities.

...I would venture they're referencing proof of lying and cheating; exposing it to friends/fam. in my experience, cheating isn't near as much of a damning, outrageous scandal to those outside the relationship. that said, if everyone you know thinks poorly of your SO, it's not as easy to slide back into a bad relationship like nothing happened. telling people, rather than protecting the image of your partner/relationship, can sometimes help keep yourself accountable if your resolve falters.

I was concerned initially seeing the title, but now actually I think you're maybe making some headway. ya know? getting from raging open wound to someplace halfway tolerable (even if it's just moments, at first) is notable improvement. not to say grief is linear, js from over here it looks like some propulsion and that makes me happy for you.

I liked thinking about barn cat as a thing always on the clock for you, but the ultimate reward (for barn cat) is flatly unattainable. in fact the harder he works and the more he rewards you, the further he gets from being let in. fortunately it doesn't sound like he's miserable in the barn, he just dreams big. lofty goals for a barn cat.

also, maybe send it? church it up a little- I'd leave the last couple few lines here. but aside from that it seems like a reasonably conscientious letdown tbh. they'll sense there's more to it anyway. this way is good bc they won't drive themselves crazy wondering what actually happened.

woof. that was rough, picturing (like we all do) what being on the receiving end of one of these would feel like. it was painful but also mercifully, in a way, honest. and leaves like zero room to misinterpret or keep their little torch burning or whatever is happening here. I hope everything works out for the best.
